Biography
Hunter for the clan's food supply, always prepared to defend himself and his kin.
When Mosstoe was young, he unwittingly stepped into a field that had been saturated with old magic. There was a castle there, once upon a time, the ruins were still barely visible through the weeds. The castle had hosted a powerful magician, and even long after her passing the grounds around her estate were under the sway of her magics. Mosstoe found the field while exploring and had walked all the way through it before he noticed the tingling in his legs. When he looked down, his feet had been dyed the color of the underbrush, and runes in a language he couldn't read were winding their way up his arms.
Panicked, he ran home to seek help from his father. He assured him that the dye and runes were harmless, but permanent, and were a rite of passage for many of his children. He himself has them, in a darker forest green, down his legs and across his back. "It was the winter season when I found the castle," he explained to his son, "and the leaves that had survived were darker against the snow. I believe the runes to take the color of the most prevalent flora in the field."
"She must have been some witch," Mosstoe commented once he'd calmed himself.
"One of the best," his father replied.
