Mohavea can talk to the dead. Spirits, souls, what ever you want to call them - she can talk to them and trade energy with them. Her 'skill' is often called upon after a suspicious accident. Unbeknownst to the clan, she is working on separating her own spirit from her body for increasing lengths of time. This would allow her to not only spy on waking conversations, but enter into the dreams of others when necessary.

In her spare time she dabbles in art, particularly painting - Liatris convinced her to try it out. They work together in Liatris's studio where Mohavea can come and go as she pleases. Mohavea isn't exactly known for her organizational skills, so Liatris may end up regretting that arrangement.

Mohavea confertiflora, the ghost flower.
It is found growing in the arid conditions of the Mojave Desert and the Sonoran Desert and in those deserts' sky islands habitats. Pollinated through mimicry of another species. The genus name is derived from the Mojave River
