Biography
» "But you know what? It all means nothing! At the end of the day, if I'm stronger than you and if I'm faster than you, then I can kill you! And that's better than anything money can buy!" «
» "You’ve made your last delivery kid. Sorry you got twisted up in this scene. ....From where you’re kneeling, it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. Truth is.... the game was rigged from the start." «
!!! Fade goes by he/she/they pronouns; so that's just an fyi as to why I use all 3 in their bio !!!
Fade's an impatient person; doesn't like waiting. They're a force to be reckoned with - and nobody that knows them cares to get in their way, because they very much value their bones staying intact, thank you very much.
As a part of Azla's Queensglave, he's actually her Third in Command; just after her own father, who serves as her Advisor. He's at the head of the Queensglaive, and often butts heads with Aziza, who's got a massive (respectful) mad-on for their Monarch. It's annoying, in their opinion, but he doesn't make their life all that awful, at least.
Somehow, as much as a stick in the mud they seem to be, she ended up with a boyfriend, who's the total opposite of him. His name's Tourniquet, and he's basically the softest Tundra you'd ever meet - and he's so damn proud of his partner! Because he tells everyone he meets about how cool Fade is, and how lucky he is to be their boyfriend. It's... actually pretty damn adorable. And honestly, he's the only person outside of their immediate family that you'll probably ever see Fade be soft with.
--
The Mirror in question is a stubborn warrior first - and a friend and clanmate second. They take their duties seriously, and have little time for their own leisures. She's a hardened person, having been shaped by her less than pristine childhood. Afterall, if you'd been abandoned blatantly by your own mother, and shoved into your father's arms as a hatchling, you'd probably have issues too.
It was tough, initially, but they found comfort in their father Quartz's constant love and support, alongside the lull of Mother and Merric; who'd been the Plague and Shadow representatives of Clan Anghora. And in Anghora, it was thought a good idea, for the representatives to be... "Counselors" in a way, in the initial Arcane Clan. A guidance, for those who came from different Flights, different Clans - and Merric was her Counselor.
It was from that young age, that Merric indoctrinated her into the Scalled; Mother's shadowed Court. Her cult. Her very own "Flight". Where whe was her very own Deity - and everyone who were Scalled worshipped her.
Fade still carries the brand they recieved, just behind her left ear. Her older half-brother Harley carries the very mark too; behind his right ear. They'd both been young. They'd both trusted Merric - trusted Mother - just as everyone else had. And they as a pair, had done terrible things under Mother's commands, sworn to secrecy under the threat of blackmail, else everyone they'd ever loved and known would've perished under dishonorable exaltion.
The sudden attack on the Clan had been their breaking point - and they'd snapped. No longer would they be a part of Mother's mindless Legion. No longer would she be a part of this... this mockery of the Eleven. She broke away, and she fought back alongside her true clanmates - and they'd won, if just barely.
He was injured, but he could still fight, if Mother came back for a second assault; which was what everyone feared after the initial attack. It was her father that took charge, alongside a relative newcomer - an Imperial named Azla. And wouldn't he know it, but Azla actually did keep her charge of leader, when their very own father turned down Zechalis' offical stepdown as Clanleader, and gave it to Azla instead.
He'd been outraged - and he'd been confused as to why Quartz gave it to HER of all people. Azla was a princess, sure! But her leadership had been a fluke! One born out of necessity after Zechalis had been too injured to lead! And with the heavy aid of her own father, no less! No way could this pompous brat three years his junior be fit for a leader! ...at least, that's how he WAS. That was two years ago. And now, Fade would oh-so gladly give his life to serve Azla - as a part of her Queensglaive.
