Spearmint came from a middle-class family with a simple life.
He never really knew his mother, her having been exalted when he was young. He lived with his father in a small cave behind the tiny library they owned. Spearmint inherited the library when his father died, and he tried to make it better. He built more rooms, set up posters and bought more books. Slowly, more dragons came to the library, making thing better for Spearmint. One day, the famous dancer Nix came to this library. She wanted to find a few books on history, one of her passions alongside dancing and reading. Spearmint spent most of his day helping her happily. After a few more days of this, he woke up and found a note on his door. Nix wrote that she had to leave for a few months to go on tour, but would return. After about a month, a large caravan arrived at his doorstep. Nix exited the covered pavilion with a large bundle of blankets. They unwrapped the blankets together to reveal four eggs. Spearmint was surprised, but extremely happy. Even though they weren't officially mates, they cared for their four daughters together, Nix's career helping them raise them in minor luxury. Once all of their dragonets left, Nix tearfully said goodbye. Her career was calling again. Spearmint moved to the Wind kingdom, leaving a close friend in charge of the library.
Spearmint maintains a relationship with Nix, but it's mainly now long-distance. They send letters and drawings of what they've been doing all the time. Whenever Nix visits, Spearmint is the happiest in the clan.
