Primrose is the eldest child of her clan's leaders, and in a different place she might be considered the heir apparent. In the muddled lack of hierarchy to which she was born, though, such things are more or less irrelevant. Her parents do not lead so much as they incidentally attract followers. When the time comes, someone else will presumably take over out of some combination of protectiveness and ambition -- and Primrose has no trouble admitting her lack of ambition.

Inasmuch as she serves any specific role within the clan, she is mostly a translator/social coordinator between Enid and everyone outside the family. Her mother's brusque ways are familiar routine by now, and while neither of them has much time for interpersonal niceties, Primrose will at least admit their usefulness.

She has a tendency to wander, spurred both by her love of exploring new places and her dislike of having to interact with other people. Over a series of random jaunts by the Training Grounds, she managed to meet and eventually befriend one of the miths who share her name. Zie doesn't talk much either, but they're good at companionable silences.
