Vale Munchkin Sphinx
Vale Sphinxes, as well as Sphinxes in general, need more lore to build onto them. Because of this, the following is mostly headcanon until stated otherwise.
Vale Sphinxes tend to be as adventurous as their Requiem kin, often making their homes in dangerous territory to challenge those who would seek what they guard. Riddles are only half the fun for these Sphinxes, as fancy words are only part of what they use to judge the worth of those stand before them. They tend to take a liking to those who use the environment to their advantage as they approach, and are more willing to accept creative answers to their riddles than most.
Munchkin Sphinxes can come in any variety, from the lovely Divines to the mysterious Enigmas. What makes these Sphinxes stand out from their kin are their stubby legs, causing them to always appear to be crouching. This doesn't affect their dignity, however. More often than not, these Sphinxes, also sometimes called Dwarf Sphinxes, are forced to live solitary lives, since their diminutive stature tends to put off most Sphinxes who encounter them. However, in a counterproductive twist, these Sphinxes also tend to be the most social of their kind, and tend to take a more naive outlook on any who approach them for the knowledge and treasure they keep. Even if challengers fail to meet the requirements they set forth to access such treasure, more often than not they'll still find themselves sharing a warm meal with a Munchkin Sphinx. They'll even let challengers rest for a time before testing their mettle, and will allow them to stay in the Sphinx's care until they must depart for home.

Needs Level 25
You carefully approach the small cub, eyeing him skeptically. Well, he appears to be a cub, at least. He's certainly small enough. However, soon enough, you find yourself barred by some sort of magic. Is this magic native to Remnant? Or is it something the sphinx picked up from Sornieth during his few travels to the place? Either way, you're certain of one thing. This "cub" won't let you take one step further into his abode. You remember the Kitsune of the Shattered Temple telling you to approach him for an update to your wardrobe, but how can that even happen if he won't let you in? He answers your unspoken question with a soft hiss, getting up on his little legs to peer at your attire.
"No, no, no! This won't do at all! Look at this! Your cloth's ragged, the leather's worn through, and- Is that a spine ripping through that silk?! No, you need help, and I will NOT let your tastes tarnish the pieces I have in here. You wait there while I try and find something to fix this."
As he leaves, you notice a stray scroll by the entryway, outside of the barrier he's put up to prevent you from "contaminating" his wares. He didn't say anything about not looking at things. Surely he wouldn't mind if you read the scroll? Judging by the sound of bolts of fabric being pushed aside, and the hisses and growls echoing from within his little vault, you'll certainly have plenty of time to return the scroll without him knowing...
"Due to our ties with some drakes who have migrated to Remnant from this sect of dragons, us Kitsune have willingly set up a trade network with the Wanderers back in Sornieth. While they attempt to learn more about us, and us about them, they primarily seek apparel from us, seeing as we have unique magical capabilities to create fabrics and other materials that are apparently rare to them. Below are a record of requested apparel items and who has requested them. All Kitsune, and Sphinxes, are to keep an eye out for the following apparel pieces so they may be shipped back with Akemi. Thank you. -Reiko"
Uriel
"I understand such things take time, and I am willing to wait. However, I do need to show some alliance with certain factions of my home, and some... gifts, I should say, need their matches. Ad for the birds, I simply hope their chattering will let my fellow Wanderers actually see me as a live dragon and not some 'Ghost of the Observatory', as they've begun to dub me of late."
Ezekiel
"I only wish to complete a set. Oh, the wig? I'm just tired of the black and white spotting Poison does to my mane as a Pearlcatcher. I want it to match my set, and since dyes are so expensive, even for you lot, I figured a wig would stop the commentary from my peers."
Hystrix
"Armor? You wanna know why I want armor? Easy. I'm a merchant in the Scarred Waste. I need that armor to survive! Cleaver, too. I might have some mighty chompers, but it's nice to have backup. Oh, the scars? Intimidation. I'm a Tundra, not a Gaoler. Need to have something to scare off the tougher customers trying to make out with my livelihood."
Penumbra
"I am an alchemist, one who needs her tools. Safety goggles, labcoat, alchemical symbols to work with... Oh, and the grim healer items make a decent filler where the regular alchemical attire is distinctly lacking. The roundhorn's aesthetic, as is the eye scar. The wing cuffs are a tie in for the rest of my alchemical symbols, seeing as they have four points of note, with three being alchemical in nature. Need an outside tie in of the same material."
Amos
"What? Oh, sorry. So many symbols around here... oh, right! Why am I looking for a pipeflute? Simple. These symbols can be quite... distressing. I often find comfort in music, and I've found a pipeflute works best for me in the past. I can even play! I just want one of my own, is all."
Gaidin
"My request is simple. I am a Warder, and I need to protect my Charge. I won't go into detail, but seeing as my Charge is an Imperial, my natural abilities won't do to protect her. The armor and broadsword are for that. Plain and simple."
Songstar
"Oh, the apparel. Right. Well, I'm a bit of a mage, a defensive one who helps watch over my home. It seems what I have at the moment doesn't tell others back home as such, so I'd like to drive it home. I may sing at the gates, but that doesn't make me some regular old sage."
Arandor
"I'm a carpenter on my ship, and I need new tools. That's all."
Abaddon
"I simply wish to tie in what I already wear. That... and my dragon mate seems rather fond of this specific look, so I'd like to see her happy more often. I'm sure this'll help."
Nocci
"My mate may be a Trickster, but I'm a studious Imperial, through and through! My roots may be Plague, but Fire sings to me like no other. Besides, with my studies, I've found all of these would be useful for what I have in store. Yes, including the cleaver. I live in Remnant now! I need something to use to protect my work against the Ashen!"
Cecil
"I simply want to tie in the rest of my outfit. The flowerfall does this well."
Kratos
"I am war, and I need others to see as such. So, if armor is what I need, armor is what I'll get."
Aurathia
"What? A Trickster can pick up alchemy! So what if I use it for some of my pranks? It's a fun twist in Remnant, especially when involving the chaotic magic around here! So, I just need the proper attire to work with it. Simple! What do you mean, it's dangerous to cork bottles of alchemical material with my teeth? It's safe enough!"
Haniel
"I cherish mercy over most other acts, and many of my peers seem to believe I'm rather angelic because of it. I don't mind looking the part, so long as I can help others see that showing mercy is more admirable than just acting on a perceived slight."
Candi
"Oh why do I want this? Easy! I want to look nice. Everyone wants that, right? Besides, they bring out the best of my colors!"
Anyone Can Dream
"This addendum is simply a list of very rare apparel items, even for us Kitsune in Remnant. If anyone finds these, send them to Liriel to guard over until someone needs them. Thank you. -Reiko"
