Vellian Stormchaser
Reckless, adventurous and confident.
Vellian has a strong affinity with storms and is fascinated by weather patterns. Passionately studies the sky and ocean, finding wild freedom by being in the midst of nature's fury.

A mighty storm swept in on the day Vellian and her siblings hatched. So wild and fierce did the tempest rage, that the hull of the Bastion was torn, wood and rope flying into the wind. When the skies cleared and calm fell, the sea-witch Kelpie was horrified to find that her three young hatchlings had been swept away from the hatchery. A search party was gathered, every member of the clan and even some of the travelling visitors putting their efforts to scour land, sea and sky for the lost young.

After the third day they were found, much to everyone's relief. Safe, save for hunger and exposure to the elements, the three hatchlings were quickly returned to their mother's side. It was assumed at first that the incident would have a lasting negative affect on the pearlcatchers. But Kelpie's wild spirit flowed in their veins and each took from the ordeal their own sense of adventure and wisdom.
