Biography

敖亚尼 Huntswoman
penitent | proficient | pacifist

Forgotten lands with weedy spires of gold;
The ground was cleft, and mad auroras rolled
Down on the quaking citadels of man.

Aoyani was born into her prior clan as the sole descendant of a believed legendary hunter of old; not only in the Tidelord's domain, but beyond. Her father had taught her what he knew, tricks kept within the family line and alike. She showed the mark of a great huntress; cunning, clever, with a gift that made her a true neurobiological wonder: she could process visual movements in fractions of a second, turning her into a genuine apex predator. However, though her youth was celebrated and she was described as a "gift," while festivals were held in honor of her father and her's return home after a long hunting trip, it did not take long until tragedy struck.

All too sudden, her youth was beset with misery. In an accident during one of many hunting trips, she had crippled her mentor; her father. Her progress was put at a halt as she hung up her bow. Though, her father told her of their legacy--her family's legacy, and it was then she knew she couldn't throw away what she was given.

She could not forgive herself for what she had done, however. She chose to leave; she perused the coast, travelling and helping feed clans who could not feed themselves. It was not too long until she found the Monastery, and recognized an opportunity for atonement--she quickly joined their ranks, taking their vows and following their beliefs. It became a privilege to feed them, as well as helping provide alms for those who could not provide for themselves. She utilized her lanterns as a method for catching bugs who strayed too close, and was honored to teach the youth the same tricks her family hoarded for so long.
