Say hello to Corithieus, who is the clan's Den Father, Role Helper and possible next Clan Mage! He was gifted by a returning player & joined the clan on the night of Sunday, October 6th, shortly after 11 pm! :D

Cory is a good dragon to be around, and however quiet and reserved at times, he can also keep up a good conversation and has lots of fun talking with others. He comes from a big family so he's used to being around a lot of other people and doesn't mind the company of others. Corithieus could also be what one could consider to be an omnivert, where he can be the life of the party and live it up being around others, but after a good long day of being out of the house, he also needs some time to relax and recuperate, and recharge his social batteries. He also enjoys quite times where he can be by himself, and in the previous clan with his many kids he found that that was hard to come by, but now being in this clan, Cory has found all the respite his heart could ever want. :)

He arrived when he was fully grown and already had many children and the change to a different clan came quite suddenly. He'd already had several wives & partners over the years which brought forth his multitudes of hatchlings, and he'd just resettled back in with his first wife after settling disputes when he received word he was being sent somewhere else. Cory didn't feel too happy about leaving for life was good and things were just starting to look up, but the leader of the clan insisted, so the Nocturne didn't want to disappoint. The leader of the SkyWings clan was also informed and the elders, Valen, GoldSong, Gabrian, and others who work within the clan to welcome newcomers, all came to give a greeting to the new Nocturne and thus he became a part of the clan from that day on :)
Cory was given space to call his own where he could settle in and have a small home to himself, and as he learned the ways of the clan and got to know the dragons here, he found it quite helpful to have for when he needed to have some quiet time to reflect or think to himself. As he settled within the clan, he began to notice how the others seemed to have certain tasks they would do and roles they would play as they helped to keep the clan safe & functioning.. He asked around for awhile to see what that was all about, and was told that each one had something special they could do to contribute to the well-being of the clan and keep things running smoothly, and that someday if he found a Role, he could also help, too. Cory was happy to hear this but not entirely sure where he fit in or what he could do to contribute, since he didn't have many skills of his own or things he was good at or that much interested in that could've been turned into a Role of sorts, other than Fatherhood, of course XD Because of this, he was also told he could shadow others around to see if he had hidden talents or could do something to better some of his current skills or just learn something new that he could also try his claw (hand) at. Cory did just that, and worked alongside many a derg for many months, switching between mentors every few weeks, learning many professions of those in the clan.. but while he gained many new skills and learned much more knowledge from the helpful dergs around him, he still never found his own true calling, which was the most important part of it all....
Until one day when it came for him to switch again and the Nocturne left his previous mentor to search out someone else, and he just so happened to walk past a bake shop where incredible smells were wafting out and drew him in. He stepped in to find a cinnamon-colored Skydancer dusted in flower and donning an apron, just lining shelves in the display case with freshly-baked goodies, which he couldn't help but drool at. A bell at the door jangled at his presence when he stepped in, drawing the Skydancer's attention in his direction, and as the dragon smiled in greeting to him, he wondered if he could have a future in baking.. "It smells amazing in here," he said, coming over to the counter and gazed inside at all the confections. "Did you make those?" Cory asked next as he looked back up to the richly-colored dragon. The flour-dusted dragon smiled and placed the tray on a hot mat behind themselves, then took off the oven mits and baker's hat that sat atop their feathered head and set them aside, as another rain of flour fell from the hat in the process. "Yes, but not all of them," the dragon said, and Cory could tell by the voice that the Skydancer was feminine, and as she brushed the white dust from herself, she continued. "There's many bakers here in this clan who love to work with dough, just behind a stove, or just in the kitchen in general, and we run this shop together. Today it's my turn," she explained. Corithieus was in awe at her simple yet intriguing description, then dropped his gaze back down to the display case, trying not to stare and wondered which noms she was responsible for. "Would you like something? I could get a sample, if you want," the Skydancer offered, drawing his attention back to her. He smiled and nodded, but wasn't sure which one to try, so he asked which things she made and she said she worked with making sweets and pastries, and confectioneries of all kinds, since she had a passion for working with sugar. Cory smiled at this, then asked what she would recommend, and upon her suggestion, he tried one of the best tasting treats he'd ever had. The Skydancer, whom he learned was named ZynomynFryre, was glad he was happy, then the conversation turned around to him and who he was since she hadn't seen him in the shop before. "It's true," he conceded, "this is my first time coming in. I've been here a few months trying to find my Role but I didn't even know the clan had a bake shop until my nose discovered it," he explained, then chuckled at the end to which they both laughed. Zynomyn blushed at his comment (and hoped the flour she was coated in did a good job to hide it) for she knew it was her baking that had done the trick and drawn him here, then asked if he'd like to shadow her for a bit to see if he was perhaps talented in the kitchen. Cory didn't turn her offer down, and thus began to work with her on days it was her turn in the shop and in other kitchens around the clan on the other days.
As they worked together and she showed him everything she knew, he still never quite found his Role, but believes he possibly found something else.. he wasn't bad in the kitchen, but not the best either but anyone could see that this also wasn't his to be his purpose. However, he didn't let that stop him for he enjoyed being by Zynomyn's side, and their friendship began to turn into something more.. something he'd already felt with previous women in his life, but this time it was also different for the Skydancer was different and new to it all, but the Nocturne was sure it was love. He still shadowed others on the side on days when him & the Skydancer wouldn't be scheduled for the bake shop or to work in an available kitchen, but he found he much preferred the days when he worked with Zynomyn, and found them to be a lot more enjoyable than the others. After some time, she confessed that she felt the same way and had deeper feelings for him now as well, and at that they decided to take things further and bring their friendship into a relationship. Which was a step in the right direction for things only progressed and they fell even more in love, creating a deeper bond, and Cory felt as though this Skydancer was the only dragon in the world for him, despite all the previous flames he'd had in the past.
A while later, the two were wedded and moved into a section of the lair they could call their own and set up a home for themselves. The wedding was beautiful, and everyone from the clan was invited, and lots of happy tears were shed, as is the case with gathering of this kind. Though ZynomynFryre insisted she wanted to make her own cake, the ladies from the bake shop still surprised her anyways with a beautiful, lavish dessert that would've topped anything she could've made. It was a touching moment for both of them, and the happy couple was forever greatful for the work they put into their cake.. but since Cory didn't want to disappoint his new wife, he let her have her wish and make her own cake in their new kitchen in their home where they could enjoy it together, away from prying eyes. She was forever greatful to him for understanding and letting her fulfill her dream, and realized how lucky she was to have such a compassionate & understanding dragon on her side.
A short time thereafter, the newlyweds also welcomed into the world their new children, two wonderful sons that turned out to be a Nocturne and a Skydancer, who they named RaudyDiaShyne and BerryCrust. While his wife was new to it all, Cory had been here before and used his experience to help with their new children and also guide her through the stages of parenthood. As she watched how skilled he was with the hatchlings and faced each new challenge that presented itself, Zinnie began to wonder if there was something to that and if fatherhood could be made into a Role, or some aspect of it since this was something he was good at, out of everything else he had tried..(see below).. More time passed and the children grew into wonderful, handsome young gents who soon enough also found their place within in the clan and discovered their purposes. Now Cory is the proud father of the Clan Catrographer who also helps to run the Nursery alongside his wife, and another Baker who has followed in the claw-steps of his mom but also works as an Engineer on the side when he's not spending all his time in the kitchen. :D

After talking to Moriah one day, since Zinnie saw how well he handled himself around the children, she found it was possible that he could do something with his skills related to children. She told him the information she had gathered and spoke about and with the suggestion that was given to her, he supposed it was worth a shot. Even though it was new Role, Moriah seemed to think that it was do-able and related how there were female versions of the occupation, so why not a male counterpart, too? With that in mind, Cory began working with the men in the clan that became new fathers and showed them tricks he knew & how to handle their children and became an essential support system for the males, helping them navigate through their journey of fatherhood, and thus became the first Den Father in the clan! Through his new journey of helping the others and being around many children, he became like a family member to most and some even lovingly call him "Uncle Cory" :)
(include about talking of his previous love interests in the old clan, meeting & wedding his first wife Audie and children then disputes & having problems between them that rose up so deciding to leave her, meeting another Gaurdian named Blossomer and settling down with her and thinking what they had was love only to find out it wasn't but also having hatchlings together, leaving when they were grown then story of meeting & had an excursion with a Nocturne, having a rowdy night with her then finding out later she'd had hatchlings, feeling terrible for putting that on her so going to help her with the raising until they decided to go their own ways once their babs were grown, meeting up with another Gaurdian who caught his eye named Chancery and made for a good companion but not necessarily wife material though stayed with her as well after she revealed she'd had hatchlings, then finally returning back to his old love to settle things with her and try to have some semblance of his old life with her before things went bad and raise more hatchlings before being sent to the SkyWings clan)
(also include story of his previous Familiar who came with him when he joined the clan but has since gone to join DuskFall in the Bestiary and now how he is paired with Lily, his Scorchpaw Prowler, who was actually Zynomyn's brother's Familiar who passed it on to Cory when the Skydancer left the clan)


As stated above, Cory is now the Den Father of the clan, and helps those newcomers who don't quite have the same experience that he does to the trials of parenthood navigate through the challenges, and helps the males of the clan when needed with their hatchlings.
Although, when there is a quiet spell in the clan, and not many hatchlings around, and most have grown, Cory has another Role as well which is Role Helper! During his time shadowing many a derg, they found it wonderful to have another around who was so eager to help & learn all he could from them, and enjoyed having an extra set of claws (hands) around that made their work go faster. Cory found that while none of the occupations quite suited him, he wasn't altogether bad at them either and could do a decent enough performance and also got along with the dragons he worked with pretty well, too, which helped alot. Since they enjoyed his company and having him around to help, a few asked if Moriah if she could do something about that to which she thought the title Role Helper would also fit him since the others relayed how much they liked his company and eager heart, and Corithieus didn't know he'd made such an impact but was pleased with the new position.
One time recently when he was an understudy to one of the dragons, he was spending time with the clan's Arcane Rep and Clan Mage, StarSpell. He figured this was a good place to come to as he was an Arcane dragon after all, and the two of them might have some common ground coming from the same place, and also since he was wondering if he could do anything with his own arcane abilities as he hadn't done much to test them out before. As their studies began, he found that the powers came easily to him, and though not as wild as the Spiral's, this Nocturne too seemed to have above average powers that were just waiting to be tapped into, and proved to be a powerful being. Upon realizing this, he now works with StarSpell and the other Clan Mage, ValentineCherub, to see where his powers will take him and if he could also possibly become a Clan Mage himself..
