The Egg Snatcher is a vicious egg thief--as his name implies. He often steals from unprotected nests on nearly every coast in Sornieth. He is quite careless though, and drops his prizes as much as he successfully carries them away to be consumed. Unhatched Eggs of various flights then wash up far, far from home.

Akupara was once a normal sea turtle. Wayward magic has caused him to grow to an enormous size. So large, in fact, that he can no longer submerge and an island has grown upon his back. Unfortunately, this disruption of a natural lifecyle has rendered him quite vicious and prone to attack anyone who comes near him.

From the Depths of the Leviathan Trench where pressure is high and food, scarce, the Crabbattler made it's name by growing ever larger than your average Imperial. The shiny eyes draw in smaller prey, and larger dragons are wise enough to flee upon seeing the bright blue eyes. Lately it has started to attack dragons instead of just fish. Citizens of the Leviathan Trench have filed a complaint! Time to send this Crab back to it's proper place. (November 2017)

Depending on who you ask, the elusive Longgui is known for bringing in tides of both fortune and ill-will. Used to create talismans of luck and fortune (or to curse one's foes, if you ask the 'right' people), its fur is highly sought after by weavers for a multitude of reasons. Regardless, the Longgui has made itself quite the pest to the clans residing within the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Give it a solid thwack on the nose and chase it away! (January 2018)

The Toxic Slugelly is a trench-dwelling species of ambush predator. It lures in those creatures that regularly eat sea cucumbers and then engulfs them in it's tentacles, pulling it up into the slugelly's bell to digest. Recently, their numbers (and size) have grown to dragon-threatening proportions... (March 2017)

Normally, Blue Dragon Reef Eels are only a danger to Blue Dragon Reef Snails. And maybe unwary hatchlings. This fellow, though, has gotten far too big for his reef and has proven entirely too hard for the locals to catch. Maybe an outsider with some new ideas can bring this monster down. (May 2018)

The New School of Fish has been terrorizing hatchling shoals for quite some time. Dragons looking to wet their wings as a Depths Guardian often start here--chasing off these aggressive fish to keep our precious future safe.

Duchess Thelxiepeia is a dangerous foe. Encroaching dragons have driven her once magnificent kingdom into ruins and many of her people have fled. Those that stay are enslaved to her will, and she broods upon her basalt throne, seeking the best way to gain revenge.

Lurking deep beneath the waves, Abaia was long thought a myth--even by dragons dwelling around the Spiral Keep. This monstrous cross between an anglerfish and an eel was recently sighted disrupting trading routes between various deep-dwelling clans. Finally dispatched by a group of valorous Water Dragons, we hope he is gone for good. But who knows what dwells in the lightless depths of the ocean? (October 2017)

No one is quite sure what to make of a Ninja Starfish. Some say his name is Yul. Some say he is merely a nuisance. Others, perhaps wiser, perhaps just paranoid, say he is a harbinger of things to come. Everyone agrees he's quite annoying and needs to be put down, at least. (December 2017)

The Lobhopster is an adorable, small creature that makes an affectionate pet. It also eats everything. We do mean everything. And when it eats, it produces offspring. One Lobhopster becomes two becomes six becomes a very dangerous problem. (February 2018)

Ygothag is an eldritch horror. Arising from the darkest parts of the Leviathan Trench after the Tidelord's disappearance, it proved to be too strong a foe for only the Depths Guardians to defeat. It took a combined effort from all eleven flights to drive this monster back. And he was only driven back, not destroyed. We must be vigilant. (April, 2018)

The Each-uisge was always thought to be nothing more than a tale to scare hatchlings and warn them away from dangerous pools before they're strong enough to handle them. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. This unholy amalgamation of Maren and Centaur might be more of a threat to our land-bound cousins than any Water dragon (we can't drown, after all), but that doesn't mean we should allow him to roam our Sea unchecked.
