______ You see what few else do. It is a gift from the gods, yes, but were you not so sure footed it would feel more as a curse. You know well before you are meant to of the going-ons of this world, and thankfully your current residence had more tight-lipped companions than any of your last. Occasionally Brista would come to you with worry in her eyes, no doubt falling in love with yet another passerby and worrying after their fate. You did not begrudge her desire to know, as she only ever nodded grimly at what you could discern and walk away, strengthening her resolve long before their death might come to pass.

______ You are proud of your heritage, proud of your noble birth and blood. You hold your family in high regards, even if your gift had put a strain on your dealings with them. You quite liked it here, hidden away at the ends of Sornieth, lapping up the calm and tranquility of this tropical getaway. Here you could rest between your duties, here you could find smiling eyes, not suspicious ones. It was as good a home away from home as one could find, and you can't help but find all these country bumpkins endearing.
