Backstory Soft of step and soft of voice, Keturah comes from a long lineage of Hunters. Armed mostly with wax and silver, she patrols the tombs, sealing them against tampering by necromancers and fools who think they mean well. Her job is to protect the dead from those who would do them ill and disturb their sleep, and she takes it very, very seriously. When she is not in the tombs, she is in her workshop, dipping candles and shaping them with sharp knives and dexterous claws. Though she is a skilled chandler, all her wicks are counted carefully, as each is made in a manner that best serves her job. None of these will light a sconce. All of them are for the dead. Other members of the Citadel find her serious to a fault, and her unwillingness to crack a smile or tell a joke is seen by some as a failing. There is much to do, however, and she is often worried about her charges among the tombs. She sees her work as a continuation of her mother's, and as such exceedingly important. She was deeply devoted to her mate, Berach. However, at some point the two grew apart and went their own ways. - Ixris |
