Reclusive and quiet, Selva for the most part prefers to have the trees as her companions.

The biggest exception is Ydrasil. He was a youngster when she first joined the clan and looking for a role-model other than the warriors who predominated at the time, and so he followed her around until she became his mentor.

More recently and willingly, Selva has acted as a gentle voice of encouragement and support for the young Coatl Melia.

Notably, she has never particularly gotten along with Jasper. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the other nature dragon was a Pearlcatcher when he arrived, or it may simply be due to their clashing personalities and the fact that she spent so much of her life in the Gladekeeper's domain whereas the Tangled Wood has been closer to home for the now-Wild Claw.
