Generation #2

As a young dragon, Ereinion found it strange that other dragons had two parents instead of one. Although Gwachaedir tried to explain their heritage to him many times, the young scholar couldn't wrap his mind around the concept of having two parents. Like his parents and grandparents, Ereinion weaves magic in the morning light through songs.

Ereinion's magic is the strongest when he incorporates an ancient language lost since the First Age. He chanced upon this ancient language, Quenya, through a note made in an old record. When he is free, he can be most often found in the archives of the clan, perusing historical records for more information on Quenya. By the time he came of age, Ereinion had a solid mastery over the dead language.

When he visited the Arcanist's library, Ereinion happened to chance across the Celestial Artes created by Astra in the works of the celestial skies. Impressed by her writings, he travelled to the Viridian Labyrinth to meet her. He came to enjoy speaking to her about writings from the ancient past and they soon became good friends with a common interest.

As the days went by, Ereinion realized that something was wrong with his vision. From being able to read a scroll placed at the other end of the room, he was only able to read when he had spectacles now. And it seemed like it was only going to get worse. Astra brought her relative, Lindaril, a renowned Healer to take a look at his eyes. The verdict was that Erieinion was going to lose his sight in a few months. Ereinion was devastated by the news, although he appeared to be calm on the outside.

A few months later, his grandson, Narya, arrived in the clan after he yet again blew up another of the shops back in his birth clan. His father had no idea how to manage his burgeoning fire talent and as a last resort, wrote to Ereinion for help. When Astra read the letter out to Ereinion, his first thought was to reject the request. He had already lost his eyesight, how could he help someone when he couldn't even do something about his condition? No amount of poring through ancient records had yielded a cure for his condition.

But Astra disagreed with him. She persuaded him to consider having young Narya by his side. "You may not be able to read, but you might be able to teach him something." She told him. "After all, from what his father says, it appears that this young one has a firey temper. It might do him some good to learn a little patience, don't you think?"

Ereinion finally caved. Soon, he came to find that Astra was right. Besides teaching Narya how to control his temper, he also learnt to be a little more courageous from his grandson. Ereinion himself was one who liked to ponder over the consequences of his actions. But Narya was different in that respect- he usually acted on his emotions rather than his logic and often times it resulted in conflict. However, Ereinion couldn't disagree with him on the actions that he chose- just that he probably would have chosen a different way of going about it.
