Microlore: Born of the Clan of Blood and Clay, she was stolen from her nest by a harpy raid and lost. Only when she came to Oakrest did Bordeaux know her for his brother's daughter. So strange to be among those irreparably lost, and yet find a place known to her family. She was swept into the fold of her family early on, and when her father came at last to collect her, she went with him.

Though not for long.

She found her actual birth clan to be woefully misinformed on so many fronts, not least was the treating of the dead. She returned to Oakrest, still barely accepted by the other stolen children (and often viewed resentfully by them for finding her place so easily), and she took it upon herself to educate herself on the operations of the Citadel so that Copperlight could have one less thing on his plate.

She has an aloof air, never fully committing to those who surround her, though demonstrating time and again her actual reliability. Though she socially seems distant, she is no moreso than Bordeaux himself, and many have accepted her quiet, distant smiles as a way of insulating herself from a bond with others that she fears may be severed at any moment.

She is most interested in the merchant sectors of the Citadel, and she is enchanted by the stories of the craftsdragons who lived there before her time. She has taken this area under her wing and hopes to develop a collective of artisans who will one day be the talk of Oakrest once more.

When Malbec returned to Oakrest from the Clan of Blood and Clay, her father, Yixing, insisted she bring someone of strength and capability to keep her safe. Despite Malbec's protests that she was old enough to take care of herself and that things were different in her uncle's clan, Corela was instructed to be her shield.

Corela has a storied life, despite how short it has been. Born of a clan of no great note near the Beacon of the Radiant Eye, she longed to learn her own limits more than anything that was taught in books. She traveled, seeking the tutelage of older and older masters, each one teaching her the skills the others had not yet found, and in time found herself in Dragonhome.

There, among the sand and stones, she was caught unawares by a bonewyrm - an ancient horror that often calls Cairnstone its home. But this one, for reasons unknown to Corela, tunneled through the open plains. Fight though she did, no matter what she threw against the monster, it surfaced again and again. It was only by the arrival of a pair of fae that her hide was saved.

These two tiny creatures worked together, weaving magic and tapping leylines. They brought together great magics to quiet the beast and return it to the earth, sending it on its way to its usual territories. Then, they turned to Corela and begged her let them see to her wounds.

It was these fae that brought Corela to the Clan of Blood and Clay. After much inquiry, Yixing learned the reasons for Corela's travels and studies. And he invited her to stay and learn the ways of the fighters of Dragonhome.

Yixing was older than any dragon Corela had met, and he had tricks and skills that she had never guessed existed. Eager to learn whether she, too, could possess these skills and one day pass them on, she agreed to swear fealty to the clan, lending her strength as the fae who saved her loaned theirs. After many years of study, Yixing has released Corela from the territory, requesting she follow his young daughter, Malbec, to his brother's clan above Cairnstone Rest. There, he is certain, they will find no end of troubles, but as he had almost lost his little one once, he was not keen to risk her so readily again.
