★★★ Though born of the Light flight, Briska is Plague at heart. The skydancer never knew her parents, so she has no idea if she was like either one of them. Instead she was raised by the Revenent after the bogsneak found her alone in the Hewn City. Because of this, Briska is sneaky, ruthless, and cunning but is thankfully devoid of any kind of murderous nature that Plague dragons seem so famous for.

To Briska, the Revenant is the mother of her heart, no matter that she would never tell this to the bogsneak's face, and she would do anything for her. This is actually what lead Briska to leave home to find a clan for her heart-mother. She could tell that the Revenant was still lonely and she was determined to fix it.

In her travels she discovered Clan Swiftspark. It didn't take her long to integrate herself int o the group and to begin making friends with a lot of the younger dragons in the clan. Originally her plan was to get these younger dragons to simply split away from the main clan and come with her. Those plans changed when the clan was attacked by bandits, leaving many dead dragons. The clan leader went catatonic and a lot of the younger clan members became resentful.

It didn't take long for her to take over, though she wasn't trusted by many of the older clan members. This was especially true of the founding clan members. They formed a coucil to try and rein her in, but the younger members which she had become friends with took exception to this attitude and it wasn't long before the elders were driven from the clan.

From here it was a simple thing to convince them to come with her to her home in the Profane Ruins. These dragons wanted someone to guide them and protect them. It was too easy to get them to believe that the Revenant would take care of them, especially because she wasn't lying. The Revenant fiercely protected what was hers and only she could destroy her things.

When Briska returned with the dragons, she discovered a new dragon had joined them while she was gone. Szilard seemed an interesting sort and seemed to make the Revenant happier. That coupled with a lot of new dragons to control seemed to satisfy the bogsneak, which in turn pleased Briska. The skydancer was happy to play second fiddle in running the clan and being the Revenant's Voice.
