Especially with things that are not his. It is uncertain of why age and time stops in his presence, he himself isn't dead, but there is definitely spectral traits toward him. Maybe he's a kind of spirit or ethereal being not associated with the plane the ghosts of the living usually reside in.

Evident by his crystal, maybe even diamond horns. Some believe him to be some cosmic royalty, but he just chuckles at the idea. Insisting that he's nothing that special, despite carrying himself in a way only seen in high class. Lotus is a gentle soul, offering place in his labyrinth of books and trinkets to those that need a quiet place to relax.

It's not unheard of him to teach the young, illiterate and even blind to read. Not just brail, mind you. Lotus has tough blind dragons to read regular print, they claim some sore of 6th sense comes to them while in the library or in the vicinity. Eventually able to leave on their own with this new found "3rd eye" as some call it.

Leading to the man fervently insisting that he is no miracle worker, such things are simple if one has the knowledge to achieve them. Perhaps his countless media, and fantastical instruments gave him some of his abilities. But being unsure of his origin, makes it just as likely, that he is no mere dragon. If even a dragon at all.
