Vaijuoti acts faster then any guard when he sees a thief or a cutpurse, though he has no intention of fighting.

Instead, he asks why.

It started when he was a child, Vaijuoti was surrounded by old, battle-hardened dragons that had seen realms far away. They had their stories on their skins, in their eyes, but he wanted to know why they came to the Wastelands.

He wormed the words out of slaves, out of raiders. Sooner or later, every dragon in his birthclan had spilled their origins to him.

Emboldened, he continued to ask why. He asked why to every dragon he met, given the chance, and grew bored of innkeeper's tales and bread maker's stories. He was nowhere near done, so he decided to lift the stones and take a peek at Sorneith's darker side.

To get into towns, Vaijuoti pretends to be a journeying storyteller.

He tells the tales he learned, acting them out with much bravado. He leaps upon tables and brandishes forks, deepening and raising his voice as needed. It is in this way he survives, finding a place to sleep and food to eat.

But when his bed is secured, he wanders off into the darkest alley the town has to offer. Dens of ill repute, bandit roosts, guild halls of sellclaws and pirates. He has his share of scars and bent feathers to prove his guile, and almost passes off as one of the villains he speaks with so often. They welcome him, or his silvered tongue convinces them to.

If it weren't for the days spent entertaining townsfolk and children, you'd think he was a bandit himself.
