Oswell found Shenani Clan because he was lost. He'd been purposefully trying to lose some thieves that had been stalking him day and night and took what he thought was a game-trail into the rocky cliffs. Being a snapper, his sense of direction and memory is unrivaled and he was confident he would lose his tundra pursuers, but did not expect at all to get lost himself. The sensation of not knowing where he was going or where he'd come from was quite startling to the snapper, but he stumbled blindly forward as most dragons looking to come out of this situation do. He'd unknowingly stepped into an experimental magical glyph meant to ward off enemies, but it was not working correctly. Oswell had eaten through one days provisions confused before a team of tundras managed to find him. At first he thought they were his initial pursuers, but these dragons were actively calling for him rather than looking for a chance to ambush him. After relocating to the clan to rest and recover from his ordeal, he found his rescue had been organized by a then newcomer to the clan, Naida. She had been seeing him in her dreams, and when she found a familiar landmark, she alerted one of the patrol teams.

His rescue had also cemented her place in the clan as a seer; A dragon capable of having visions of the past or future, and though she wasn't yet practiced she needed to prove some level of skill to get the official title and permanent den. So thrilled was Naida, that she delivered gifts to Oswell, just as he'd had the idea to deliver her some himself as thanks for his rescue. It was then the two first met, literally bumping into each other and picking up their fallen trinkets before they realized who each other was.

Oswell loves to tell grandiose tales of clans with sights unseen and dragons of unknown breed and land unexplored before pulling out souvenirs of his journeys- all of which can be purchased of course, for the right price. Before even meeting Naida he was finding reasons to at least come back to Shenani Clan occasionally, (provided the magical glyph was fixed) seeing plenty of business in the frequent vacationers here to enjoy the hot springs and resort-like classes that were already offered.

His relationship with Naida keeps Oswell around for long enough that he keeps his permanent residence in the rocks now. She doesn't keep him here by force, but her company is simply so enjoyable he prefers to leave the clan to travel less. When he is away, he keeps in contact with her constantly with letters and usually a flower or leaf will find its way into the envelope with the parchment.

Oswell is often described as a jovial dragon who is easy to talk to, he is a businessman after all. Still, there's something very genuine about his jokes and casual demeanor. Though his aim is usually the treasure and gems in your pocket, he'll make sure your experience of giving them to him is one to remember in a fond way.
