Naida always knew she was meant for greatness! ...It's just that no one else saw it. She was the most obnoxious hatchling in her clutch; With parents of high blood and power Naida expected everyone would know she was great. What she wanted them to know was that she was the greatest. She spent most of her hatchling days engaging in daring stunts and opening mocking other hatchlings, even her own siblings desperate to prove she was The Best. Bounced back from the first clan she was sold to due to her behavior, Matriarch Probably found the pouty little guardian alone and almost grown. She offered the rambunctious hatchling a clan where there were many new things to try, and Naida took this as a challenge to conquer each one. Though her parents were happy to be rid of her, the price-tag remained unchanged as her bloodline promised power in either strength or magic. (Probably was rightfully smacked for that by Nia) As Naida grew, she tried craft after craft and discovered she was an instant genius at all none of them. She became frustrated, but the anger lessened the more time she spent away from her previously more competitive clan. She grew into an adult with beginners knowledge of many things, and... heaps of embarrassment for her adolescence.

When she reached maturity, Naida began to have strange dreams; She would see a scene, perhaps frozen still like a painting, or witness something she was never there to see. The dream would repeat and visit her each night until it came to fruition one way or another. In some cases, it happened long before she was even born which she found out by overhearing one of Oresith's lectures. At first, she thought herself delirious, but with each new vision she felt less sure. Still, her parents were elemental mages with strong attack magic... When was that going to kick in?

She first heard about an oracle through the story of a vacationer loudly bragging about how he'd charmed one in some flight somewhere. She did a little research and deciding the description (mostly) matched her experience, went about trying to apply to be one for the clan. They needed proof though, and it couldn't come soon enough; Visions of a snapper, panicked and confused just outside their territory came to her during the day, at lunch, while she was awake. (A first!)

After gathering dragons she trusted for patrol (in case it fell through) she described the area to them and they found the poor soul dizzied by a magical glyph gone wrong. She was so grateful he was real! Oswell, as he would later reveal his name to be, got her the job of her dreams! They both went to deliver gifts to the other and after running into each other quite literally on their way there they hit it off.

Naida loves Oswell's stories from his travels, and hangs on his every word. He's charming, funny, she can only hope she means just as much to him as he means to her. The two can often be found strolling together when he's not out of business, laughing and messing with each other like two kids.
