Biography

Hakuho is a very brave young dragon. He’ll often try to sneak after the insect catching parties when they go out, but is usually caught by his mother, Jaina.
He has a big appetite. He likes to catch any bugs that fly into camp, and show them off to everyone he can find before he eats them.
He’ll also pick and eat any plants he can find, much to the dismay of the Doctor of the clan. He tends to eat some of the more toxic plants for hatchlings. However, Hakuho has a strong immune system and generally bounces back in a couple hours.
The Doctor says that he has a fire in his belly that burns any toxins away, since he never stays sick for more than a day.
There have been many occasions when Hakuho has escaped the clan and gone on adventures, but none were more exciting than the time he met the rogue scavenger. Her name was Sour, and she was a great mechanic. Soon after their strange adventure, Hakuho became her apprentice.

Current Lair, Home

Since he started learning, Hakuho has been able to construct a sentient golem, even though it doesn't function exactly how it's supposed to... Regardless, Hakuho considers it a friend of sorts, and has even named it. Saru is a very clumsy golem, and tends to screw things up, driving Sour crazy.

Quote:
As usual, he was sneaking out after the bug catchers. It was one of those rare times that his mother didn’t notice him, she was busy chatting with another dragon. No dragon saw him as he slipped out behind the group.
After he was a safe distance away from the clan, he separated himself from the rest of the dragons and ran as fast as he could. Climbing to the top of a small mesa, he set his sights for the Carrion Canyon. The place had been talked about, but it had never been explained in detail.
Hakuho had decided, since no one would say anything about it except: “It’s a dangerous and scary place! You should consider yourself lucky you haven’t been there.” He had decided that he didn’t consider himself lucky. He had decided he wanted to see the Canyon with his own eyes. And so, he went. He leaped from the mesa and spread his small wings, gliding west.
Landing was harder than Hakuho had thought it would be. He twisted a claw, which is extremely painful for a young dragon with soft feet, but the pain faded quickly. And as small as a young dragon’s wings are, they can still carry a dragon quite far. Hakuho was not so far from the edge of the Canyon, after all. He set out, slightly limping still, but making good progress. Suddenly, there was a stinging feeling on his tail and everything went black.

Blinking slowly, Hakuho woke up. He could see that he was in some sort of tunnel, and there was a brightly colored Fae sitting next to him, finishing off something blue. It wiped its face, then spoke.
“So, you’re awake.”
Her tone was monotonous, Hakuho couldn’t tell if it was threatening or friendly. He could sense a significant amount of magic energy from within the small dragon, but unlike with most dragons, he couldn’t read her intention.
“You almost died, you know. Dumb hatchling.” She studied him. “I can’t tell how you even survived. A Peacock Scorpion sting is deadly to small dragons…” Narrowing her eyes and flicking her frills backward, she turned away. “Well, you don’t have anything of any worth, so you can leave now.”
When Hakuho didn’t move, the Fae hissed at him. Hakuho scrambled past the Fae toward the light, but tripped and fell face-first into a pile of dust.
“Pathetic child,” the Fae scoffed, then pulled some tumble weed over the cave entrance behind her.
“Um, what’s your name?” Hakuho asked.
The Fae glanced at him. “That’s not important to you. What’s important to you is getting out of my sight before I decide that your shiny skin might be worth something.”
Hakuho shrieked and jumped back, before turning and running towards the canyon again.

She was freaky… Hakuho thought after a while. I couldn’t read her at all… That isn’t normal!
Lost in thought, the young Skydancer didn’t realize how close he had gotten to the canyon, until it was too late. He tumbled over the edge, clawing at the rocks until he managed to get a hold on a small ledge. The smell hit Hakuho a few seconds later, almost making him loose his feeble grip. Looking down, he could see skeletons and rotted flesh, and so many bugs! Normally he would’ve gotten the urge to try to catch some, but strangely enough, he didn’t now. Hakuho didn’t think he’d ever want to eat another bug after seeing what they eat…
Realizing his situation had nothing to do with food, he crawled up onto the ledge, at least as much as he could fit. Then he realized something else: he was very much stuck. He couldn’t go down, not with what else there was down there. He couldn’t go up, because grabbing at the walls had wrenched his claws, and they hurt a lot. And he couldn’t fly up, because his wingspan/body size ratio was off since he was still young. His only option was to sit and wait for a traveler to pass by and hear his call.

Several hours passed. Hakuho’s throat ached from shouting, and the sun was starting to set.
However, at this time, a certain Fae scavenger was making her rounds scanning the canyon for loot. She heard his weakening call, and flew upward towards the sound. Seeing Hakuho, she snorted.
“Well, if it isn’t the pathetic little hatchling. I wondered where you had run off to…”
“Please,” Hakuho pleaded, “Help me out of here!”
“I’ll think about it. In the meantime, have you seen any travelers pass by? Or, uh, fall to their untimely demise?”
Hakuho scowled, then remembered that she was his only hope for survival. “No…”
“I was joking. So… what’s the reward?” The Fae hovered in front of Hakuho, as if to taunt him.
“Reward?”
“For saving you, duh. I don’t do things for free.”
Hakuho thought for a minute. “My gratitude is your reward.”
“Okay, later kid.” The fae swooped downwards.
“Wait!” Hakuho thought furiously. “Ten thousand treasure?”
The Fae’s head showed once again. “Triple that and we have a deal.”
“That’s thirty thousand! How’s twenty?”
She narrowed her eyes. “Twenty-five.”
“Deal! Get me out now, please!” Hakuho was desperate. He didn’t have money to spend, of course, but she didn’t know that.
“Alright, up you go.” The fae positioned herself above Hakuho and grabbed his shoulders. She may have been small, but she was quite strong.

Landing at the top of the cliff was painful for Hakuho, he ached all over.
“Ok, so where’s the cash?” The Fae didn’t waste any time.
Hakuho pointed into the distance toward the Tempest Spire. “Over there’s where my clan is, everything’s in there.”
The fae dropped to the ground. “You’re kidding, right? I’m not carrying you that far.” She was silent for a moment, then she flicked her frills forward and whistled shrilly. After a moment, a large metal bird alit in front of Hakuho.
“What is that?!”
“It’s Transport. Get on.”
Hakuho dragged himself to his aching feet, and climbed to the back of the slippery bird. The fae leaped on behind, and whistled again. The bird launched into the air, and towards the Tempest Spire, towards home at last.

Quote:
Nocturnal or diurnal? Half-and-half. He works far into the night, then sleeps in.

Favourite food? Red Emperor Tulip Clover

Has any (active) siblings? Several, though he has not had any interactions with them.

Ticklish? Very.

Makes eye contact? If yes, in which situations and for how long? He usually does, though from the outside it may not appear so as he always wears goggles.

Allergies? None, he is a very healthy dragon with an insanely strong immune system.

Prefers to fly or to go by foot? The last time he walked a long distance he fell into the Carrion Canyon, so he now prefers to fly whenever possible.

Family or Familiar: who are they closest to? Familiar. His birth clan is a long distance away, and he is unaware of the one sister he has that also resides in the Windswept Plateau. He is very close with his own familiar, the most recent and operational golem that he created.

Most embarrassing moment? Explaining to his parents and Clan why they had to pay some random fae twenty-five thousand treasure.

Puts on weight easily or hardly? Hardly. Again, he is very healthy and has a great metabolism.

Any scars? If yes, from what? He has a few small scars around his claws, as a result of trying to climb a cliff without any help from his wings.

Least favorite word? Carrion. It always makes him recall a very specific bad smell.

Prefers feathers or scales? Feathers, unless they are used to tickle him.

Most attractive primary/secondary/tertiary according to them? He loves the look of Radioactive Iridescence, however he has no preference in regards to appearance.
