xxxxxxxxxxxx ★★★ Hired as a club singer by The Slash Pine nightclub in an attempt to branch out (hehe) into the market and acquire a slightly more respectable brand of clientele, Phelanopsis is a presence, and she knows it. With a deep, raspy voice, she can silence a room, but she can also make you get up and dance if she sees fit. Phenalopsis's big and brassy style clashes with the harsh and fractious Witch House style of the club's resident DJs, the sons of the club's owners. She sees them as useless punks with no artistic discipline (who could, one day, be proper artists) and is subtly trying to get them to shape up without them noticing.

Phel is high maintenance, and is currently bullying the owners into serving higher quality food and drink, (and also fix the building, so she doesn't have to perform in a leaky shack built into the side of a giant pine tree). She is also an accomplished moonshiner, and produces most of the club's alcohol, although she pretends she can't when asked, as she believes it to be an unfitting skill for a grand dame like her.
