Cygnus is named after a swan constellation so she named her familiar after one of the stars within that same constellation. She has a small collection of cacti that she has gathered. She also provides cacti to others in the weyr who want them. She thinks that all the dragons who have the 'spines' tertiary should grow cacti, even though she herself has glimmer. The other dragons in the weyr find it quite unusual that the colors of Cygnus are also in her collection. Perhaps that is why she cultivates this particular set of cacti...
