Lorinand's early life was shaped by one thing: an abundance of the finest ingredients for preparing the most delicious dishes. Around her childhood home in the Reedcleft Ascent, meadow orchards of great size were to be found, buzzing with the sound of diligent bees, rich in fragrance and filled with the melodies of birds.

Lorinand always enjoyed creating dishes that would make the eater happy and not just fill their stomachs. So she learned how to combine the ingredients she could use in a way that they would complement each other, always taking care that those who would eat from her meals would end up happy and healthy.

Once during her strolls through the orchards, looking for what fruits were ripe yet so that her clan could enjoy a wondrous dessert the next evening, she met an old dragon, adept in the art of apiary. Curious, she listened to him talk of how much he enjoyed tending for bees and taking their honey in exchange.

Honey - that was a good that Lorinand so far had never used in her dishes. She asked the old dragon for a sample of the honey he had produced, and was amazed when she tasted it for the first time - such a sweet and gentle taste! When she returned, the old dragon joked that he was not surprised by her reaction, after all, Lorinand's plumage resembled pollen that his bees had gathered from a fragrant summer meadow.

She went to learn from this old dragon, but something kept her from building her own beehive in the Reedcleft Ascent. When she confronted her parents about her strange and sudden feelings,
they already knew. Both of them had come here from the Sunbeam Ruins, and they knew from the second that Lorinand had hatched that she would return to this place one day.

Lorinand understood then. It was her fate to leave the Reedcleft Ascent and go northwards, though she did not yet understand why. But she took her things, bid farewell to her clan and the friendly old apiarist, and journeyed to the Sunbeam Ruins.

At first, she did not know where to go, but then she heard rumors of a ruined temple in the north, quite close to the Viridian Labytinth. Something made her feel as though this was where she would need to go, so, on twisted paths, she finally found her way to Arvarinar.

In the forests, she got lost at first while marvelling at the plants that grew here, but soon she was found by Lorindol. Her heart was filled with joy as she found this gentle Coatl, and they agreed to find their way around the island together. They have spent their days humming loving songs to each other ever since.

When they found the auroral archives, they knew their journey had come to an end. The Golden Light Sages would be their clanmates now, and Lorinand was looking forward to preparing some wonderful meals for them.

The island of Arvarinar is home to a vast array of fruits and even certain spices, thanks to its special climate and its position as an island in the warm waters between the Sunbeam Ruins and the Viridian Labyrinth. Even certain plants and mushrooms from the Tangled Wood are found here, fish is easy to find, and wildlife is abundant. Thus, Lorinand never fails to make every single member of the Sages happy with her meals. Her specialty lies in dishes with honey in all its uses, for of course, one of the first things to do for her was to build a beehive here, the first of its kind on the island, and certainly not the last. The bees collect honey from one of the vast meadows nearby the temple and from a few fragrant flowers that grow within the forest, making it sweet and mild.
