Nakayoru is Datura's full-time apprentice, and gets up early in the mornings and sleeps late in order to study and learn as much as she can about the art of medicines and poisons. To those not in her clan she is rather enigmatic as, in her spare time, she lurks in the thick fogs of marshy areas in order to look for rare plants to bring back to her master. There are tales in other clans that have spotted her of her being able to manipulate the fog as a shroud to hide her from plain sight. Some tales also tell that she is a death god, and that whenever she appears, it means that a disaster is imminent. This is only supported by the fact that her familiar, a Tengu Caller, follows her around wherever she goes. Since no one has ever gotten a clear sight of her through the fog she is often surrounded in, when she is seen outside of the marsh, such as at the marketplace or the like, Nakayoru is treated as an ordinary dragon and is not recognised as the dragon from the tales made about her.
