Biography
Also, Kaju < Auratus XD
This little derg is named after the Green and Black Poison Dart Frog, or Dendrobates auratus.
Auratus came to the Lair of Many References as a hatchling, settling in a nest near the murkier part of the Behemoth. He likes to study frogs and other amphibians in his spare time, when he's not the Lair's resident taste-tester. He fancies himself an expert, and can often be seen talking to prized specimens in his collection. Having been exposed to many chemical experiments (Belladonna loves to test her concoctions on him), he's grown resistent to many venoms, toxins and poisons, so this job is not harmful to him in any way. However...his methane output leaves very little to the imagination. His little froggy friends, Frederick, Freya, Faust, Fern, Felix And Todd the Toad, seem immune to the stench though. The same could be said for Xindha, since the bogsneak often joins Auratus on expeditions to the boggy areas of the Behemoth...where fungi are ripe for studying. His best friend is Jupiter, the Lair's Search and Rescue Ranger.
On one such expedition, he came across a young fae half submerged in tar. Burdened by a form of grief, Auratus salvaged it and brought it back to Belladonna for her to resurrect. That child would become Brea.

The green-and-black poison dart frog (Dendrobates auratus), also known as the green-and-black poison arrow frog and with numerous other names, is a brightly colored member of the order Anura native to Central America and northwestern parts of South America. This species has also been introduced to Hawaii. It is one of the most variable of all poison dart frogs next to Dendrobates tinctorius and some Oophaga spp. It is considered to be of least concern from a conservation standpoint by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The green-and-black poison dart frog has the typical appearance of the members of its family. Males average 0.75 inches (1.9 cm), while females are slightly larger, averaging an inch or longer. The green-and-black poison frog typically has mint-green coloration; however, this pigment can also be forest, lime, emerald green, turquoise, or even cobalt blue or pale yellow. Mixed with this typically green are splotches of dark color, ranging from wood brown to black. The green-and-black poison dart frog is one of the most variable of all poison frogs in appearance; some have black or brown splotches, others are dappled, or have "splashes" of black, like Oophaga sylvaticus.
