Biography

"Oh, child. Misconduct cannot and shall not be tolerated."

This is Shinto, the first Imperial dragon to grace my clan. As a child, he chose to stick close to me while I tended to my duties as leader. It seems he watched me carefully, and adopted a good majority of my ways. He learned to be civil with all the dragons, and as such, he's well respected by all the dragons here. While Adrastos is obviously second-in-command, the Ridgeback bows even to him with respect.

I suppose I'll be sharing my position as leader with Shinto, and I have no problem with this.

Shinto's proven that he can be a powerful leader. Not only does he have the voice for it, soothing when necessary yet firm as required, he has a regal air about him which makes the others naturally look to him for guidance. Thankfully though, Shinto isn't arrogant about this.

While sure, his word is firm and the dragon's thoughts are set in his ways, Shinto isn't cruel. He will lead this clan to prosperity, following my footsteps in keeping an eye on what is best for the clan. Shinto is strict, especially when it comes to the more childish side of the lair, but gentle. Neither physical nor mental abuse is displayed by this dragon.

Instead, he's developed my habit of appearing disappointed. His eyes would become so sad, much like mine do, and his very presence would seem weary. As if the weight of the world was dragging him down, all because a punishment for misconduct was in order, Shinto often appeared overburdened.

Somehow, this always worked on the other dragons, and I'm proud to say my method of handling these dragons will live on even after I'm gone. After all, I can't live forever with my children, but at least they can live on with my memory.

Shinto, I'll be leaving the clan to you and Amaya someday. I'm proud you're such an honorable dragon, and I give you my blessings. May you never waver from the Path of Kings.

Exalting Shinto to the service of the Arcanist will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
