A drop of the Lightweaver's own blood made flesh, like a piece of the sun fallen to earth. Mellivere is a sacred relic of the Valari, and kindred to the An'iel. The glittering ichor that spills from her veins is the source of Val-ar-Aion's wealth: quintessence, capable of turning any substance into gold, making Mellivere not only a saint but a living philosopher's stone. A symbol of the infinite grace and generosity of the Lightweaver, her existence is perhaps the city's best-kept secret.

Mellivere, for her part, takes her position as a living saint as a matter of course. Given her unnatural pedigree and genesis, it is, to her, perfectly natural that she be worshiped and adored. It is an assumption lacking all ego or pretention- sheltered within the innermost sanctum of Heaven's Knell, she has known no other life than that within the walls. Many presume that a divine being ought to possess divine knowledge, but alas here Mellivere proves her supplicants bitterly wrong. Hers is an existence marked by a perfect ignorance of the outside world- an unbecoming smirch for a symbol of the Light.
