Biography

After lending Neonel to cottoncloud, they discovered this girl to be a pretty good partner progeny-wise for him, so they sent her over to me for free. I didn't expect to, but I actually really like this gal. I know she'll be staying with me for good.

Gene changed to Python and Morph, had Iridescent and Butterfly to begin with.

When Daisy was adopted into the clan in the Bramble, she was mistaken to be a shadow dragon. But when she opened her eyes, they were several shades too light. She was always seen as a disappointment within that place, and was never truly accepted by it's residents.

It was bizarre. There were many others within the clan who were not Shadow-affiliated, why was she the one shunned? What had she done wrong? In an attempt to make up for her lack of value within the clan, she constantly attempted to aid others in their work at first, but knowing little, she would often make mistakes and end up hated even more. Eventually, she decided instead to stay away from the others, straying from the territory to gather food and materials for herself and becoming more isolated over time.

During her isolation, she discovered she felt at peace within nature, and that she was adept at one thing - making potions. She never knew why she was drawn to those specific flowers, those specific herbs. She found herself desiring more knowledge, more learning, but the potionmasters within the clan would not accept her.

One day, Daisy bumped into Tia, the healer of the clan. A Coatl like her, but with a rough voice and demeanor, she seemed at first angry. Suddenly, though, her voice softened.

"You're not a Shadow dragon." She pointed out bluntly, her yellow eyes glinting within the dark.

"...No." Daisy answered dejectedly, lowering her head.

There was a short pause before Tia spoke once more, more gently than Daisy thought possible. "Good. They always make potions meant for dastardly deeds." She glanced at Daisy's humble bag of flasks and materials. "What sort do you make?"

Daisy was taken aback. Was she being accepted, could she have some value after all? "I... want to make healing potions. I haven't been able to do it yet."

Tia actually smiled, a sight Daisy had not seen before. "Perfect! I've been looking for a student. Meet me in my studio tomorrow afternoon, east of the woods." She exclaimed, before turning swiftly and prancing off in that direction.

And so, Daisy came under Tia's tutelage. For once, she had a place. More often than not she would still go out to gather materials. In Tia's care, Daisy learned to make potions that healed, potions that strengthened, potions that hastened. She learned to make draughts and salves, casts and bandages as well. She never sought to be a healer, but that was the role she fulfilled - or at least as the assistant of one. As the clan's members had just begun exploring combat, the demand for their services became higher - especially with the two visiting warriors the clan had hired.

Eventually, though, the clan decided to pack up and move all the way across the world, to the freezing, blinding peaks of the Cloudscape Crags. Daisy never understood the logic behind this decision, but she trailed right behind Tia the whole journey. The warriors traveled with them, and she watched as the dark Imperial and Wildclaw joked and played one moment, and became fierce and hostile to thieves and encroaching beastclans the next as the two led the traveling pack. She couldn't help but wonder where they had come from, why they had come to this clan and stayed when so many others had come and gone after discovering their demeanor. Perhaps it was because they had each other.

Once they reached their new home, Tia and Daisy quickly carved out a cave for themselves that would become their new ward. In an attempt to calm herself from the uprooting, Tia claimed they'd needed a larger place anyways, for both storage and for their patients.

Daisy hated the cold. In the Crags, she barely felt the motivation to go outside, even when Tia was in need of herbs. What plant life there was scattered far apart, so her journeys would last much longer than they were meant to, and she'd often come back with frost tipping her wings, tail, and fingers. Eventually, she discovered a neighboring clan with a prolific merchant, and began simply trading the wages she'd saved for the same materials she'd been able to gather for free at the old location. With the temperatures wearing on her, and her stash and motivation dwindling, Daisy was soon falling back into the depression she'd felt before finding Tia.

One day, however, as she went out in search of the trader, Daisy heard something coming from the Reclaimer's Glacier. From the neighboring clan, she'd heard tales and legends of a deadly Ice spirit that patrolled part of that land, freezing and binding the dragons who dared set foot there. It was a place that inspired fear and chagrin even into the dragons native to the area and it's temperatures. Earlier in the day, she'd seen the two warriors traveling in that direction. Worrying for them, she too strayed into the Glacier. The bitter winds and constant blizzards bit into her hide and shrouded her vision, but in the distance she could make out what looked like a long black stain in the snow - the form of an Imperial, with another massive, spiked, dark and draconic creature standing over it. She rushed forth, flinging one of her smoke potions at the monster. Once the flask broke against the glassy creature's head, it fled from the ensuing cloud and disappeared into the blizzard. Upon approaching the body, she found it to belong to that large traveling warrior, Neonel, and the purple Wildclaw, Magicant, clambered over after recovering from his own fall.

The two carried Neonel back to the ward, where Tia treated him and Daisy assisted. His wings were bound so tightly with thick ice and unbreakable chains that they had become mangled and deformed, and it was doubtful he would be able to fly again. Upon his waking, Daisy stayed away, but Neonel knew of her presence.

Since he had been advised not to fight, Neonel seemed without purpose while his partner went to carry on with the job they'd been hired for. Slowly, Daisy began to approach him, and soon found that he had not the slightest bit of discrimination for her - in fact, he showed her nothing but gratitude, as if he believed she had saved his life. He seemed happy for the company as well, so Daisy continued visiting him day to day. He would speak of his home clan and she would listen, allowing herself to be carried away by her own visions and fantasies of the idyllic place. It sounded so accepting, so comfortable in comparison to the places she'd lived. As the two became closer, the Imperial suggested she go and live there. After all, she had little holding her to the Crags other than Tia. The more the purple Coatl thought of this idea, the more she embraced it.

She discussed it with Tia the next day. The older, hardened Coatl agreed with little hesitation.

"You never really were happy here," She said, placing a newly brewed health potion with the others. "You've learned enough. It's about time you took your skills and put them to use someplace else, as long as you can find happiness there."

With an embrace, the younger Coatl said her goodbyes to her one and only friend and mentor within that clan, before gathering her things and going to see Neonel. He was ecstatic, and told her he looked forward to seeing her back there. He gave her a portion of the funds he'd accrued from his time working there, to sustain her on her journey. The two shared a kiss and Daisy left with a new purpose, this one invigorating her like no other before.

Upon arriving at what she thought was the correct location within the Expanse, Daisy was at first confused and overwhelmed. The constant thunder and lack of plant life, the monotonous sand and rocks, made her begin to rethink her decision. Soon enough, she was greeted by a massive green and red Guardian, at a small clearing that seemed to open out into a vast canyon. She told this Guardian of the traveling warriors at her clan and of Neonel, and the large dragon soon welcomed her inside with gusto. As Daisy was led deep inside the canyon, she began to see environments and dragons of all kinds at it's base. This was the place.

Since making her home here, Neonel and Magicant have returned as well, never to stray for extended lengths of time again. The two pairs have since made families of their own, and settled within the newly bustling community of the Canyon. Even though most of the dragons surrounding her are fighters, Daisy never felt as if she didn't belong. Nowadays, when she's not at home, she gathers the same sorts of herbs and materials she always used to but now for Wolf and Chelltrus, the local head healers. She also simply enjoys a stroll through the diverse habitats that the others have created for themselves, and learns something new about the flights every day.
