A pirate with extremely potent Ice magic. It's speculated that she died once. Her body is freezing to the touch, and appears to be made of hardened black ice.

Many eons ago, Kryoce was captured and locked away by the Gaolers, who bound her with chains and shackles in attempt to restrain her. She wears them to this day, even long after breaking free from their custody.

While the Gaolers were forbidden from revealing themselves to the larger population, she patrolled the entirety of the Icefield. Travelers and plunderers alike would suffer her curse of ice and chains, as she passed retribution to those who would trespass on the land she claimed... until the day she was finally defeated in battle. She was then dragged to the Canyon by someone claiming to be an old friend. Kryoce had no memory of the white Wildclaw, and continues to harbor a deep grudge, believing her authority was stolen by this stranger.

Since then, the Gaolers have resurfaced, permanently discouraging her from returning to the Icefield. However, she's somehow managed to find refuge here, after Shiver bargained for a deal with the Matriarch, allowing Kryoce to use her strength for the good of the community in exchange for her freedom... As long as she remains within the borders of the Canyon, that is.

It's unknown what kind of life Kryoce used to have before she became the icy tyrant she remains.
