Everyone thinks Pansy isn't a dragon at all- but a cursed nymph. A spirit of the Southern Icefield who is vengeful and malevolent. She also thinks this too.
The common lore around Pansy is that she once was a Fae of unknown Flight, who got trapped in the Cloudscape Crags after venturing too far from her traveling pack. She searched and searched for a way out, begging any forgiving God to save her. When it seemed that no Higher Power answered her pleas, she became bitter, angry, and eventually froze over to be forgotten. She emerged as cursed spirit who separates unsuspecting travelers from their groups.

There are many variations of her story. Some suspect her clan ditched her, and she captures dragons because she is lonely.

Others say that she's from the Nature or Fire Flights which is why she was too weak to withstand the harsh cold.

A few say when she prayed to all Eleven Gods, it was the Icewarden who answered and gave her a second life as a elemental nymph.
No one seems to know what she's doing in The Wyrmwound... Which is why it's unclear if she's really the legend or actually just an Ice Fae who took folklore too seriously....
