Deep beneath Treehome, there are vast caverns, lit by sparse oil lanterns. There is a path carved in stone that leads through the shadows and over the still pools to a chamber more brightly lit than the rest. There is a natural throne of stalagmites and stalactites on a smooth rise in the center, which slopes down to turquoise pools from which strange vapors rise. These vapors mingle with incense; frankincense, sandalwood, and dragon's blood, all swirl leisurely about the Sibyl as she perches motionless upon the throne. Her eyes are obscured by silk, and her breaths are shallow as one sleeping.

This is the chamber of Oracle, where the Sibyl receives strange visions and prophesies delivered, as some say, from the gods themselves.

Luthien, The Sibyl, is one of the Priestesses of the Glade, led by Erato in devotion to the Glademother, and to the other dragon deities.
history
Luthien's mother Eila placed great expectation on her daughter to follow in her footsteps and become a diplomat for the clan. As a small hatchling Luthien accompanied her mother on many missions to parlay with friends and foes alike, though she preferred the company of her father and his gentle mystic ways. Valerian showed his daughter the wonders of witchcraft, oracle, and herbalism, to which she took much more naturally than the demanding environment of politics. This led her to become an apprentice to Erato, who discerned her aptitude for channeling the powers of Oracle.
