CAPTIVATING // CHARMING // ENIGMATIC

-Ringmaster of the Circus of Mirrors-

Usually, the first thing you hear when approaching the big top is the sound of Marquis voice echoing across the circus-grounds. "Step right up, folks, and see the wonders of the Arcane Flight right here before your very eyes!" His energetic and charismatic inflection is infectious, and immediately you begin to feel caught up in the excitement of the circus.
His charm has earned him many fans, some of which come and go, and some which stay on at the circus, where they find themselves traveling across all the realms of Sornieth.

He does not easily tire of conversation, and any poor circus-goer who gets caught up in conversation with him might find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into his stories, leaving with a headache and perhaps more information than they signed up for. Members of the Circus often joke that they never joined the circus, but rather got caught up in the wake of his conversation and never left. When mentioned in the presence of Marquis, and he would laugh a deep, rolling chuckle, and you might not even notice the startling twinkle in the depth of his eyes.

Aside from his Circus family, Marquis has sired many offspring, hatchlings that have grown and lived and learned. His amorous habits has left him with a bit of a reputation amongst some, but comments rarely made out of disdain. Rather he takes pride in the his offspring that travel Sornieth, with or without the Circus, and relishes the letters and news he receives from each one. Marquis makes a point of visiting those who have left the Circus family, and speaks fondly of each and every one. he keeps a pocketbook pasted with their images, artfully rendered by Zenithar. For his children who have left to serve the gods, he mourns and saddens, for they rarely write and never visit. Marquis has never believed in what they gods have written, what they have left behind. To Marquis, the gods have never brought him joy, but rather only stolen it. But they will pay, for nobody steals from Marquis.
