Apollymi has always been different. Perhaps it was meant to be, being the middle child of their Lady Mother’s first clutch. Where his elder sister was sharp-eyed watcher, he was carefree. Where his brother was as constant as the course of the sun, Apollymi was always darting from one place to the next thought faster than most could comprehend. Each of his siblings have felt the Dawn’s power in their own way, soaking in the magic like they do the light. His though….has always been different, just like him.

There was no warmth of a new day, new hopes. No, to him it burned. It was the blindness of looking into the sun too long, the fire of direct sunlight on exposed soft flesh. It was the flashfire, the instantaneous destruction of the first peak of dawn at the beginning of the day. His power was immense but only for the briefest moments, the first breath before it was gone again for another cycle. When the sun breached the horizon he always sat alone, burning and consumed for a heartbeat before picking himself back up to go and bring smiles to his loved ones once again.

One day he followed the sun as far as it could take him and he ended up in a land as tortured by the flame as he was. Desert sand as far as the eye could see, bones bleached by the sun’s gaze and left to sit forever under her face.

The plaguelands, in a lair of fallen gods and kings in waiting, is where Apollymi found his home. His words rang true and his songs sweet as he brought a little light to those no longer in the sun, his mother's voice flowing through him. Among those who felt the greatest of thirsts and the falling of empires as he did, he found peace.

For where else could a child destined to destroy ever truly belong?

Apollymi now runs the Tavern that sits in the distant shadow of the Broken Bone Tower. Before his arrival it was like the ash of a forgotten fire burned low, but with time and hard work he's breathed new life into the place and now it thrives. The Tavern is the beacon of hope and protection the clan offers and Apollymi takes much pride in it. It's a safe place and he will do anything in his power to keep it that way.
