Biography

Bio written by: TheMimic1013

*You were out in the Emberglow Hearth, collecting food for a personal spicy recipe you were told about when you came across a pearlcatcher that you almost bumped into. He seemed to be in a pleasant mood as he looked at you with a smile.* Hello! I take it by your clothing that you are a traveler? My name is Soulseep.

*You introduced yourself and bothered to ask if he was okay, having that 'mess' on himself. He seemed to shrug at the question.* I'm not exactly sure what to think about it, friend. It's a bit of a story to tell. Of course...I love stories in my own right. Care to trade a story for another?

*You saw no problem with that and accepted the offer. It was a fair trade. With that, Soulseep started gossiping like any pearlcatcher would while you two walked together to gather up food in the form of plants mainly.* I'm glad we came to an agreement. You see, I was born into quite a laid-back clan. Three leaders, hardly any limitations unless it was impure, and the oddest dragons can live there and be treated like a normal being. My parents are an imperial and a pearlcatcher, so you can imagine that I wouldn't have any problems getting along with those species.

*You actually smiled at that part. it's not often such feuding species will toss their differences aside. But then again, you think you may know that clan he's talking about...* Anyway. As soon as I grew up, I took off into the world, eager to travel and see what the land offered. Of course...I was also overlooking my foolishness to skip a couple of flying lessons.

I eventually got caught up in a storm mid-flight above The Tangled Wood and had struggled to endure. I ended up crashing into some puddle of this 'mess' as you called it and was pretty much stained with it as I tried to use the rain water to wash it off. I thought it might had something to do with the Shadowbinder, so I seek help from the nearest clan I could find. It wasn't what I had thought once the clan got weary of me and answered that I became shade-touched.

I came home quickly out of worry and had Gaja check me out. She confirmed it, but admitted that I'm pretty resistant to its brain-washing power. In fact, I had started to see the hidden influences of the shade and can actually interact with them without harming the creature or object if I can get away with it. By interaction, I mean ripping the shade off of their victims and destroying them with my own claws. A bit of a gift and curse, if you will.

*You commented that it was impressive magic to be bestowed with. He was like an exorcist in that regard when you think about what he said. You asked him why he was over here now instead of back with his clan.* Oh, that? This clan heard about my ability once I got the basics down and asked me to join them as they handle trouble on a constant basis, some of it shade-related. A clan that needs me was something that I couldn't ignore...I guess I get that from my father. He's such a softie some days. This kindness that seems to seep from me might also have influenced my name.

*Soulseep turned to you, a big smile on his face.* That's my story. It's your turn now. *You nodded and started to tell him one of your own adventures encountering an unusually talented dragon in the art of magic as you each finish filling your collecting containers with edible items. Afterwards, you both parted ways, satisfied with the interaction and story you heard.*
