Flight Allegiance : Born in the Plague Flight – will always be a Plague dragon by heart.
Role : Fighter – Member of the second defender squad (for now in formation). – Killer of threats if needed
Mate : Love ? what is it for ? (for sure, a warrior - he is very closed to Mantyr but that's not exactly what we coud call a couple. More than a very efficient fighting pair.)
Familiar : A crocked hatchet, and a hydra scorpion. Both are helful to fight. He gave them a name but do'nt use it often.
Bonds : Considers Tyharval as his sister since they were brought up together – they have a strangely no contact very deep bond. He does not really consider the other clan member as his family – only as the members of his clan. Fighting teacher of Mystblade.

Personnality

Rubyus is quite a disturbing dragon. He clearly is a born fighter – even a born killer. For now, he seems well-balanced, but if his thirst for blood amplifies, he could become very dangerous, as he is an exceptionally strong warrior for his young age. He likes to kill and to triumph over his foes, but he still is very cautious and does not take any inconsiderate risk.
He is very independent. He is perfectly able to obey order from whoever he considers as his superior, but hates being forced to do anything. For now, he considers Sedewus and I as his clan leaders and Sed as the warriors’ captain, but without paying him much respect for that, as he highly values power, especially physical might, and Sed is more a pacifist scholar than a fighter chief.
He is totally unconcerned by anything that is not linked to combat, and is very pragmatic. He always stays cold-blooded, and these qualities, if they do not make of him a pleasant companion, make him a very reliable clan member when difficult situations come.
There are not lots of things that could seem as unappropriated than talking about pairing Rubyus with a mate. It’s difficult to tell what himself exactly thinks of that, but as respect is very important to him and as he values most fighting skills and might, it is obvious that he would never accept as his mate someone that is not a warrior himself.
Rubyus is not very warm and doesn’t value family bonds – he doesn’t care of knowing his parents and letting them know what he does, he has never take the other dragons in the training camp as his family, and in our clan, there is hardly one dragon that he considers as his sister. But what is important to understand is that for him, clan and team bonds are more powerful and valuable. He would like to find some mighty and reliable combat partners that he would be proud to call his companions, and he strongly wants to prove himself a valuable clan member – but that’s not easy to understand from him for the other dragons, and that can be the origin of some misunderstandings.

Childhood

Rubyus came from a fighting training camp of the Plague Flight, from where he escaped by himself and then came all the way long through the woods until he arrived at our lair. He was only a child, but has been trained since his very first days in order to fight the greatest foes. He didn’t escape because of the camp’s training, that he rather agreed, but because the military trainers wanted him to stay still in his little dormitory, preventing him to go out to erase the nomadic and claustrophobic predispositions of his breed. He wasn’t at all disposed to let them do such things, and one day he decided to leave the camp forever and to try is chance in the world.
That’s how he ended in our camp. He was exhausted after a long walk and some fights and we offered him to rest in our lair a few days. Considering he was so young yet all alone, Sed and I offered him to stay with us definitely if he wanted to. At first, he didn’t seem that much interested, but after a few days, understanding we were ready to let him go out whenever he wants and that he may be the best fighter here even though he was the youngest, he decided to stay.
At that time, he was the only hatchling with Tyharval, that is why they were brought up together. It could be more correct to say they were brought up by each other, as all the other clan members were quite overwhelmed by the task – bringing up two true Plague hatchlings for dragons that weren’t even close to the Plague Flight state of mind was quite a challenge, especially for Nature dragon Emberyl who was preponed to the hatchling care.

Rubyus as a child :
Teenage age
Fortunately, neither of Tyharval and Rubyus had been a problem – they preferred living their lives without disturbing anybody, and if Tyharval was curious enough to try to learn things by looking at the clan members, Rubyus, even not talkative at all, didn’t seem annoyed with the other dragon’s presence and was even ready to train them in fighting. Even as a child, he was already quite the reserve fighter in the camp – after all, he came all the way killing treats as he was only a child. Reaching his adult form, he only became more powerful and affirms himself as the best warrior in the clan. Sedewus and Aemyth trained every day deeper in magic arts to be more able to defend the clan, but Mystblade had difficulties. That’s why she came to Rubyus and began to train her physical fighting skills and her ferocity with him. He immediately accepted and even if it’s rather strange to see the stocky young Snapper dragon training the big older Ridgeback, their association works well and Mystblade has the hard-working qualities he values. She was to one who suggested to form a second defender squad to protect the lair more efficiently involving Rubyus and Tyharval – the perfect combat team. For now, the idea is in discussion – Sed and I are not fond of letting a team with only two young members go out.
He is often outside the camp, patrolling and eliminating any threats. What disturbs us is that he didn’t seem to do that in order to protect the camp – though it seem to be one of his secondary reasons – but more in the purpose to kill foes. It seems clear to us that Rubyus likes to kill, but he seems very calm when he is with us, and absolutely not wanting to do any harm to any of us, that’s why we are watching upon him carefully, hoping he is not going to turn mad in any way.


Adulthood
-The second team is formed along with Mantyr and is very efficient - they're taking the main fighting role, and the first team concentrates on defense. Sed is thinking to recruit a fighter to replace him.
