Biography
N { Wait } - { Impure Weeper }
{Wait} Don't blink, Don't look away. Wait was created imperfectly, in hopes that the other weepers would turn on her and destroy her. But this didn't happen. Wait survived and was adopted into clan Harmony, where Daisy cautiously takes care of her. Very. Cautiously. You can never be too careful. Especially when dealing with weepers. No one knows when first the Weeping Dragons came, some would say they are as old as the universe, having always existed in one form or another. Constantly their form adapting to the worlds and places they exist. There are some Weepers so old they seem to date further back than even the most ancient of ruins. Even the Dragon deities seem...at best confounded by these strange monsters. Regardless of how they came to be, weepers seem to be staying, there are a few things one should know. Weepers cover their eyes, when they are among each other, because their mechanism of defense traps them in place. The mechanism which turns them into statues upon being viewed doesn't make a distinction between other dragons and weepers, thus they have to ensure they don't accidentally see each other and get stuck for eternity. Though the way they still move freely among each other speaks to a certain alterior sense of each other. Not alot is known about the true form of a weeper there is no way to see it as once observed they are stone. Weepers common food source, is energy. They toss their victims back in time and feed off the lost years and the displacement which creates a lot of time energy. Younger weepers need less than older counter parts. If a Weeper is starved or simply can't find enough food, they will enter a dormant state. Older Weepers like to gather together in what can be called "Stone Yards" often far from other dragons in wilderness areas. A dormant weeper essentially begins to decay and degrade like any other statue or stone. Weepers are not mindless hunters, if you encounter one of these stone terrors it is possible to reason with it. If they're hungry they may not listen but often they will almost follow, so long as you don't look they'll whisper to you. Some have long tales, others will likely remain quiet and simply follow. Younger Weepers are known to accidentally follow dragons home and simply take residence in their lairs. You can't kill a Weeper by dismantling the statue, it may seem like getting rid of them is as easy as destroying the statue; but it seems as soon as you look away and back, the stone has come back together. Albeit cracked in some places. Though look away again and they are fused. The quantum lock means they are stuck at the point they last existed, so dismantling the statue is not fixing the problem. It isn't even a deterrent. Likely the only way to really get rid of one is to get it stuck, or have another weeper get them. |
