Yukari used to be a salty, cynical dragon, always rolling her eyes and sulking around. The plague disaster wiping out almost her entire local family forced her to seek out the brighter things in what life was left.

Essentially, Yukari and Tomodachi almost exchanged personalities, with Tomo becoming more cynical and negative, and Yukari becoming the positive and optimistic one to try to keep the small group of survivors from losing themselves.
