Boethiah is the very first of The Blood Wraiths to be born outside of either The Scarred Wasteland or The Viridian Labyrinth. His birthplace of The Tangled Wood is not without much significance - he is the first in a line of purpose-bred diplomatic ambassadors. His birth signalled that Moloch had grown weary of simply trying his best to unite Plague and Nature, and set his eyes instead to the often overlooked realm between the two.

No one is quite sure how The Blood Wraiths managed to pull off the operation. On his irregular trips to The Tangled Wood, Boethiah is required to take with him food rations grown near to the Heart of Viridia in a volume large enough to sustain him for the length of his stay and journeying.

A number of dragons in the clan, Meridia in particular, have made the conclusion that in order for Boethiah to have been born in the Shadow region, Moloch must have been able to provide the region with these very same rations for the entire gestation and birth period. Both Boethiah and Moloch routinely avoid the scrutiny these dragons attempt to apply to the matter.
