Thief turned King ~ King turned Prisoner

TELL ME A STORY

Now I'm going to tell you every detail of my life up to this moment. I don't care if you won't listen, but I can guarantee you will want know how I got here. For scale's sake, I'm no more a king here than the thief Stefan is a bargainer; I am a bit more street wise than most heirs (if I could be called one). You see, I am the common dragon's king of Light because I am neither born from the House of Light already established here, nor have the slightest idea of how to rule it. The Light Rep and Headmistress of Light of our clan, Tahirah, manages to show her acceptance of me into the House fairly well, but my nature senses tells me she thinks less of me. I can understand that, I was born the youngest of triplets, the last to find a home when I was chased out of my family. Tristan, my childhood friend joined me as we were accepted into this clan. Upon arriving, Tahirah marked me as a member of her house before I even had chosen one. The other members of my house (mostly fair ladies) are wonderful to be around, if you're on an eternal cloud nine.

The dragons I usually hang out with are the Sandwalkers' Guild, which I'm halfway a part of. They are rowdy bachelors (more of a thieves guild), who, despite having many choices of mates, cannot seem to find the One. I, however, can't say the same. Last week, Tahirah introduced me to a noble lady wild claw, new to the clan, named Sunset. An once again, I was forced into an inescapable agreement of an arrange mate. She was nice to me at first, and very beautiful, but I think she had eyes for someone else. Sunset eventually called it off, not that I was upset over it (relieved actually). So now i am back to being the bachelor I was before I came here, the downside is that Sunset is now in the House of Sandwalkers with Tristan, and he claims she's now got a vendetta against me...

Despite being the "scavenging thief"of the clan, Stefan is one of my most trusted friends. And when I ask him for anything, he goes out of his way to get it. I get most of my apparel from thieves stealing from thieves. And when clothes are scarce, Tristan, Sinbad, Aladdin, Stefan, and myself are willing to bargain whatever we have.
I am nervous upon this partial throne, but what can I do but be the robin hood for the dragons here whose clan of 85 are divided into houses that are more dissevered than they know, even with the few allied pairs...

AND I'LL TELL YOU MINE

My other best friend is Princess Cyrus, successor of the House of Winterbite. She's quirky and a bit inexperienced in my opinion, but she makes for good company even for her young age. But don't get me wrong, she's just as thievish as I am, I taught her everything I knew. A long time ago, she knighted me, which I didn't even know was possible; for members Winterbite and Lightveil rarely interact, let alone befriend one another. But as her "knight" I am sworn to both be a good friend, and a loyal guardian.

When I'm able, I sneak to the secret meetings of the Sandwalkers when the demands of my own House die down. Cyrus usually follows me, nipping at my heels as we're both welcomed to the council. There have been numerous rumors of an uprising within the clan. The Sandwalkers far outnumber all the other Houses, even Firetouch, but because Sinbad's mother is in Firetouch, he has half the power he should. I try everything in my power to calm him, for his father Leo constantly threatens to expose me & Cyrus' involvement in a plot against the Head House (Firetouch), and dethrone Sinbad.

If there really is a revolution on the rise, I don't want my name in the spotlight. Clan Matriarch Raziel told me from day one in this clan, that should I use any treachery against her dominion of the Houses, I will be banished…I can't do that to Cyrus, Stefan or Tristan, they're loyalty as my friends speaks louder than that of their own Houses....
