Biography

Named after the antagonistic witch queen, the "Mistress of Pohjola", from the Finnish mythological cycle the Kalevala. Possibly an alternative name for the Mother of the Nine Diseases, Loviatar, the blind daughter of the death god Tuoni and queen of the Underworld (Tuonela) Tuonetar.
