Biography

Veronica

Hunter

Veronica and her partner, Makarios, are not kind dragons.

Though Makarios might be the more vicious of the two, Veronica is certainly intimidating on her own. The two of them together bring back more meat than the rest of the clan combined. It is not because they are generous, or concerned about those who do not hunt. They are among the best hunters because they are so frequently hunting for sport rather than necessity. Veronica can frequently be seen casually picking her sharp teeth with the bones of her prey. She never goes hungry, and she never backs down once the hunt has begun, whether she is hungry or not.

Veronica and Makarios have a relationship built of mutual respect. Though they rarely show each other affection, deeming it pointless, they will sometimes bring each other the other's favorite meal if they happen across it in the wild. They've made a daily game out of who can catch the most in an hour, going out of their way to one-up each other and frequently ending in a tie, which leads to yet another hour of their on-going contest.

If asked, Veronica would say the reason she loves to hunt is because she is good at it. It only makes sense to her that she would be; the strong survive and the weak are eaten. That is how the world works, and Makarios agrees. It's well and good that some of her clan mates grow flowers or write letters or play with magic. She has never seen the need.

She and her mate stay out of clan politics. They have few friends in the clan because they have no interest in weak dragons, or helping others if it doesn't benefit them. Their time with the clan continues because it is convenient. There are others that can make use of extra meat, hide, fur and bone, and in exchange Veronica and Makarios have treasure, fine clothing, and a comfortable nest, well stocked with whatever the two of them might need.
