Even his mother rejected him, bullied him for being too soft and week, but Thorntail's hardest battle was to won Riptide's heart. He sued for Riptide's hand for month, trying everything he could, but for long it seemd impossible to even get a friendful glance from her. Maybe it was because she travelled with Llyr who hitted every day on her so she growed a very tick skin to protect herself. But one day during a hunt she was attacked by some centaurs. Thorntail protected her, injuring in the process. This made her to think over some of her decision and from that day they lead the hunting groups together. She is very strict with her hatchling, demanding equality among them so she seems harsh sometimes, but her mate's kindness balance it out.
