THE HOSTESS

Chai is one of the first few dragons who joined Julianus in his mission to return to the Sunbeam Ruins. One of the Lightweaver's second children, seemingly naturally predisposed to hate her imperial cousins, she was nevertheless drawn to his cause, and accompanied the budding clan eagerly. Though not much of a combatant or a scholar, Chai did one very important job well: making new clan members feel at home.

To this day, she welcomes young and old alike to her abode, prepares teas and coffees, and lends a friendly ear to listen to their hopes, dreams, and troubles. Perhaps she knows more than she lets on, but her lips are sealed. No confidante worth her salt would let her friends' secrets slip. And besides, she'd hate to let all these drinks go to waste.
