Aeronwy

Aeronwy does not hate Kanriss. Aeronwy does not love Kanriss. Aeronwy overall has no strong feelings anyway again or for Kanriss. Aeronwy does not have strong feelings for anyone or anything except for the woods and Elderyth, but even he won’t admit that much.


Aeronwy is a gatherer. Kanriss wanted this job to go to Elderyth, which, she does help with now that Quine is grown. But as a male, Kanriss wanted Aeronwy to be a battle dragon. Aeronwy, however, does not care what Kanriss wants. He is bitter against everyone and everything except for Elderyth.


The relationship between Elderyth and Aeronwy is not complicated. They are like brother and sister, though they are from different blood lines. They came to Kanriss after being in a clan only of Skydancers. Aeronwy has been protective of Elderyth ever since, even though Elderyth is older.


Aeronwy has never been in love. He did breed with Kanriss’s daughter, however. She was later exalted but left behind a grandson for him and a great grandson for Kanriss. Because of this tie with Kanriss, he is a little less strict on Aeronwy. Kanriss might seem heartless, but he loves his children. He exalted them to give them a better life to the Gladekeeper. Aeronwy, is also, the only one who understands this aspect of Kanriss. Aeronwy can understand Kanriss’ feelings because Aeronwy feels the same about his lost son. He loved him, but maybe being with the Gladekeeper leads to a better life.


Aeronwy loves the clan, and will always remain loyal. He remains loyal to the Gladekeeper. Asher is missed every day, and is very loved. But Kanriss can only have so many of his offspring in the clan, and that quantity is very small.


What about an heir? Kanriss might need someone to carry on his legacy, right? That is Aeronwy. He doesn’t know it, but Kanriss looks at Aeronwy as a son. A true son that can carry the responsibility of leading a clan. Aeronwy was part of the clan since the beginning, he will know how to lead it. He knows the Gladekeeper and what the Gladekeeper does with the dragons and believes.


Cupcake, regardless of how many times you tell her what happens, does not believe the Gladekeeper is a positive force. Because of this, Kanriss cannot trust her children, if she ever has any.


The future is Aeronwy. He will choose Elderyth as his partner, as she rightly deserves. Aeronwy does not know any of this yet. For now, Aeronwy spends his day in the forest collecting and plants and insects for the clan. It’s all he asks for right now, and it’s all he needs with his indifferent point of view.
