There was something about borrowing that was heavily ingrained into the Ridgeback society; a way of life based entirely off of petty theft and a cycle of continuity. Valkyrie liked to think her 'borrowing' a good thing. After all, it was the mysteries of the greater world that someone else would 'borrow' from her in times to come. What she didn't consider is the horrific mess of a future that it would land her... Of course, in her line of work, you retained knowledge from all ways of life and perhaps if she knew the inner machinations of the rebels within her temporary home at the time, she could have disuaded them against their madness. Borrowing was her way of life but there were lines in the sand that the two consipiring Mirrors crossed with intentional viciousness at a tyrant who had left more than his fair share to die. It was the giants time to fall but if only she knew-... It did not stop her acting. She was, at the time, the largest dragon kept within Siege's folds. The male did not like others imposing upon him which, at times, included culling any larger creature that threatened his space. Her healing was valuable; a mercy, she supposed. It meant that when the beasts crown was snatched from his head, divinity could intervene and Valkyrie was capable of stepping between the frenzied monsters target and the decending maw. The altercation left its scars and the Guardian was sent with one less eye retreating with fury burned into the remaining. Valkyrie, too, was left with the remnants and rubble of what was left behind. Broken dragons and lost souls. She sighed softly despite the burning pain and accepted her own fate among the remaining five individuals. Someone had to care and some part of Valkyrie knew that a part of her had been 'borrowed' by this small clan in introspect. Luckily, she did not expect nor ask for it back. Her care was theirs to keep.
