As the runes of the ancient had chosen him. He did not know why, or for what purpose, but their whispers echoed in his ears. He could not understand them, yet they were there, spreading across his wings like a disease. And they spoke to him of complex algorithms tying life together, he slowly started to understand how dragons had come to be.. what life meant.. and what their purpose truly was. They had been living a lie their entire lives... However, he could not tell anyone what he had discovered, for the complex algorithms could not be translated into a form that any dragon other than him could understand. He knew too much, and there was no dragon which he could share his knowledge.

And thus the runes begun to mutate his colors, changing him drastically from what he once was. The runes even toyed with him, granting him colors not even a mother could love.
