Biography

Razortusk is a stargazer, but he isn't eager to explore the mysteries of space. Rather, Razortusk is watching for an invasion, whether by the Shade or something even worse. Some call this paranoia, but he calls it preparedness. Razortusk's readiness for intergalactic assaults includes everything from physical training to mental exercises, but it primarily requires him to observe the sky. It's common for the night watch to see Razortusk leaving the lair, on a quest to track the movement of the stars or to find a better vantage point for the same.
He was placed into Clan Weathowbrook's care as only a hatchling, and was intended to be cared for by Philip, Lucinda, and Marina during his early days in the clan. However, it wasn't long before Razortusk's curiosity showed itself, and his tenacity soon followed. He frequently escaped his mellow watchers to get himself and Ankh into unintended trouble. If the clan was lucky that day, he could instead be found spending a quieter time with Viridiana. His hours spent reading at her side brought him into direct competition with Frostfall, whom Razortusk has yet to forgive for his cruel nature. As Razortusk grew into an adult, he gradually absorbed Lucinda's etiquette lessons and Philip's off-beat character-building sessions. Nowadays, Razortusk is a clever and resilient young dragon with spirit, energetic if not persuasive. It is an often-unnoticed fact that Razortusk's hyper-awareness only really concerns the realms beyond Sornieth, and events taking place within the influence of the deities rarely faze him, which leaves him a reasonable-enough fellow for the most part. He misses his birth clan from time to time, but he's resolved to be responsible in his new home. When Razortusk isn't occupied with his observation of the stars, he's hunting down food or patrolling the clan's borders, his courage serving him well. Sometimes he leaves his jobs briefly unattended to investigate his surroundings, but there's yet to be any harm due to his inquisitiveness. Many of the adults hoped that he would leave behind his fixation with space and become more down-to-earth as he grew older. It's become clear, however, that Razortusk, his only serious ally Ankh, and his boisterous Starsweeper companion are in for the long term. Whether he's right to be vigiliant or wrongly obsessed has yet to be seen, but either way, at least he won't be alone. |
