CLAN LEADER "TOGETHER, WE ARE STRONGER"
Origins - Archad was brought to the clan when he was just a hatchling, raised by his adoptive mother, Dreame. She taught him how to be a leader, and he was barely an adult when she left the clan, leaving him in charge. But, he was not alone. He quickly created a group of advisers to help him lead the clan, comprised of his childhood friends, who, like him, had all matured into powerful dragons.
Wings - Since his mother cast him aside at a newborn age, he was not able to finish fully developing. Dreame provided all the help that she could, magical and physical, but nothing could replicate the care of a mother, and the damage was permanently done- Archad's wings were deformed, and he would never fly again... Until recently. When Cressalia came to the clan, she used her mechanical knowledge to craft a pair of steam-powered wings for the disabled leader, and since then, he has had no problem flying about gracefully in the sky. Parents - On July 9th, 2018, Archad took a weeklong vacation in the clan of @templeofthought. One evening, Chryss came to Archad in the night to tell him that he had been given a vision, and knew that his parents were located in a clan not far from them in the Starwood Strand. The next morning, Archad set off, and arrived at the foreseen location about halfway through the day. When he saw them, he recognized them instantly, but they were mates no longer, for their love was disrupted when they lost Archad. At first, Archad was nervous to meet them, but that nervousness quickly melted away as he realized that they were just as excited to meet him as he was to meet them. Infinity was proud of his son for becoming such a strong leader, thought he clearly felt very awkward about meeting Archad. Rosewater, though also proud, felt guilty when she saw his crippled wings, though Archad assured her that he didn't blame her for it. Overall, it was very emotional, as neither party had ever dreamed they’d get to meet the other. During this time, he also learned why his parents had been forced to give him up. The leader of the clan, Aneva, had separated him from his parents and sold him because, at the time they were suffering a food shortage, and Aneva had made the executive decision that they could not afford to feed another mouth. Archad was on the brink of exaltion, but that was when Dreame came by and offered to buy the little hatchling, saying that he should be allowed to choose if he wanted to serve the Arcanist. Infinity and Rosewater had no choice, giving up the son that they had loved so much. Over time, they began to fight about if giving up Archad was the right choice or not. However, upon seeing that on his own, he was able to become a great leader, they knew that they had made the right choice. Who knows- Perhaps they will become mates once more after this? Overall, Archad had a heartwarming time meeting his parents, and will not forget this journey for a long while. Perhaps this will even make him appreciate Dreame a bit more for her actions… But mostly,he just feels better knowing that his parents, really did love him. Personality - Archad is smart, confident, and good at making decisions- Everything that a leader should be. If there is a way to solve problems nonviolently, he will do it, but he is also not afraid to send his clan into war if the need arises. He believes that there is good in everyone, and that each dragon has a worth and a purpose. Perhaps his biggest fault is that he is too confident- He does not easily admit when he is wrong or if he has failed, and it is hard for him to come to terms with an unfixable problem. Relationships - Archad, while he has had many lovers, his one true love and mate is and forever will be Raina. They grew up together, and he admired her for her beauty and talents. Archad has also been good friends with Chryss and Runestone since childhood. His son, Cloude, the heir to the clan, is the light of his life, and he is immensely proud of him and his achievements. Things between Archad and Dreame are awkward after she recently returned to the clan, and he is still a little upset that she would leave him, even if it was for a noble cause. Finally, while he cares for all of his clanmates equally, he feels indebted to Cresselia after she helped his wings, and he sometimes finds himself caring for her as if she were his daughter. Clan Role - As leader of the clan, Archad is responsible for making sure that everything is always running smoothly. He leads the clan into battle, and makes all the important decisions. Sometimes he will have to visit other clans and negotiate with them. He makes sure that food is distributed equally, and if any dragon has a problem, they come to him. Magic - Archad is skilled in basic elemental spells, mostly Arcane as far as battle magic, Earth spells for stability, and Lightning spells for energy. He is far more skilled in physical combat, however, and even better at mental combat, outwitting his enemy more often than he'll beat them in a fight. |
