Biography

Azelg
Pirate

Favorite Familiar: Stonewatch Prince

Azelg is one of the most bloodthirsty pirates in Captain Glashtyn's crew. He and his sister Vanash were abandoned by their mother, so their father, Selkie, raised them. While Vanash chose to live the life of a warrior, Azelg decided to become a pirate like his swashbuckling father. But he isn't content to just cruise the rivers of the Tangled Wood; he craves conquest, riches, fame.

To this end, Azelg once kidnapped a prince of the Stonewatch Harpies, intending to hold him for ransom. But with the warriors of the Harpies swooping down upon them, Captain Glashtyn ordered them to "Flee fer your lives!" So, they all retreated back home, only to find that Azelg hadn't released their hostage. He'd brought him back to the clan.

Afraid to face the Harpies again, Captain Glashtyn ordered his crew not to return to the Harpies' territory - not even for ransom. Thus, Azelg was left to guard his prisoner. He hated guard duty. Guard duty meant no fighting, no treasure, no fame.

But as the weeks went by and Azelg's boredom grew, he came to befriend the Harpy prince. Now, the two of them are inseparable as they roam the rivers and treetops of the Tangled Wood. Azelg no longer has any though of ransom money, and the prince has little desire to return back home to craggy cliffs and the politics of Harpy royalty. He has joined Glashtyn's crew and finds their adventures much more entertaining.
